Terrible's Road House
Terrible's Road House is a gas station in Jean, Nevada off Nevada State Route 161. It contains the World's Largest Chevron and is a tourist trap for people traveling from Las Vegas to California, being about south of the former. It has 96 pumps, 60 restroom stalls, and a convenience store. The gas station is owned by Terrible Herbst. History The center opened on July 6, 2018. Features The station contains a White Castle restaurant, and it is the third ever to open in the Western United States, and the first there outside of Las Vegas. Prior to its opening, it was set to employ 100 people, with about 20 people on each shift. It also has 72 soda fountain heads, six times the average amount, and a coffee bar. WFTS-TV (channel 28), branded as ABC Action News, is a television station licensed to Tampa, Florida, United States, serving the Tampa Bay area as an affiliate of ABC. It is owned by the E.W. Primm, Nevada
Primm (formerly known as State Line) is an unincorporated town in Clark County, Nevada, United States, primarily notable for its position straddling Interstate 15 at the Nevada–California border. It sits on Ivanpah Dry Lake, which extends to the north and south of town. Primm was initially known as State Line and started as a small motel and coffee shop built by Ernest Primm (1901-1981) in the 1950s. Over the years, Primm grew, with Gary Primm, Ernest's son, expanding the area by building casino hotels. In 1996, the town was officially renamed Primm in honor of its founder and to avoid confusion with Stateline in northern Nevada. State Route 161 (SR 161) is a state highway in Clark County, Nevada. It is known as Goodsprings Road, connecting the town of Goodsprings to Interstate 15 at Jean. The route was part of State Route 53 prior to 1976. Route description The route begins at the intersection of Esmeralda Street and Spring Street in Goodsprings. It runs east along Spring Street, then exits the town and heads southeastward, intersecting Sandy Valley Road, which provides access to Sandy Valley. The road continues southeastward through the Mojave Desert for about before entering Jean. SR 161 ends in Jean at an interchange with Interstate 15.
