Tehran Railway Station
Tehran Railway Station () is located in Rah Ahan Square, at the foot of Valiasr Street in the southern part of Tehran, the capital of Iran. The railway station was originally designed in 1928-29 by Polish architect Władysław Horodecki, who died before the construction could begin. In 1930, the experienced Danish railway architect Knud Tanggaard Seest was then tasked to finish the project. Around the time it opened in 1930, the previous tram system in Tehran was shut down. Seest changed the original plans dramatically and gave the railway station a new, highly modern, strict design. Władysław Horodecki
Władysław Horodecki (born Leszek Dezydery Horodecki; ; ; – January 3, 1930) was a Polish architect active in the Russian Empire and later in the Second Polish Republic. He is best known for his contributions in the urban development of Kyiv, with buildings such as the House with Chimaeras, the St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Cathedral, the Karaite Kenesa, and the National Art Museum of Ukraine. In Kyiv, Horodecki often worked along with a sculptor from Milan, Emilio Sala, who was an instructor at the Kyiv City College. Life and career Russian Empire Horodecki was born into a noble Polish szlachta family of the Kornic coat of arms in the village of Szołudki (Sholudky, now Mukhivtsi Rural Council, Nemyriv Raion, Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine). Azerbaijan Railways () is the national state-owned rail transport operator in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The , gauge network is electrified at 3 kV (3,000 V) DC. Mashhad Railway Station
Mashhad Shahid Raeisi railway station (), formerly Mashhad railway station () is located in Mashhad, Razavi Khorasan province, the second largest city in Iran. The station is owned by IRI Railways, and was designed by Heydar Ghiai. Following the 2024 Varzaqan helicopter crash, it was renamed in memory of the late President Ebrahim Raisi.
