Taça De Moçambique
The Taça de Moçambique, also known as Taça Moçambique (meaning Cup of Mozambique) is the second most important football competition of Mozambique, and it is organized by the Mozambican Football Federation. The competition's first edition was competed for in 1978. Competition format The competition is a one-legged single-elimination tournament between teams from all over the country. The competition is divided in two parts. In the first part, which is called ''Fase Provincial'' (meaning ''Provincial Stage''), clubs are split into regional groups in which they play against teams from the same province. The second part of the cup, which is called ''Fase Nacional'' (meaning ''National Stage''), is contested between 16 clubs, qualified from the Provincial Stage. Flag Of Mozambique
The national flag of Mozambique is a horizontal tricolour of green, black, and golden-yellow with white fimbriations and a red isosceles triangle at the hoist. The triangle is charged with a five-pointed gold star in its center, above which there is a gun crossed by a hoe, superimposed on an open book. The colours and symbols of the flag represent different aspects of the Mozambican people and their war of independence. The current design, adopted on 1 May 1983, is defined in the Constitution of Mozambique, and regulations regarding the flag's use are outlined in decree no. 47/2006, titled ''State Protocol Standards''. The design is based on the first flag of FRELIMO (Mozambique Liberation Front), which has governed the country since its independence from Portugal on 25 June 1975. In association football, a penalty shoot-out (previously known as kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a tie (draw), draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as Overtime (sports)#Association football, extra time (if used) has expired. For example, in a FIFA World Cup, penalties are used in elimination matches; the round of 32, the round of 16, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals, and the final (competition), final. Vilankulo (or Vilanculos) is a coastal town in Mozambique, lying in the Vilanculos District of Inhambane Province. Vilankulo is named after local tribal chief Gamela Vilankulo Mukoke, and some of the "bairros" (suburbs) are named after his sons. Known as ''Vilanculos'' during colonial times, the name was changed to ''Vilankulo'' at independence. Today the district is called ''Vilanculos'' and the town ''Vilankulo''.
