Bedside Dentist (), is a 1971 Danish erotic comedy film and part of the Bedside-films series, directed by John Hilbard from a screenplay by John Hilbard and Finn Henriksen, and produced by Finn Henriksen. The film highlighted, in parody, two versions of Danish masculinity. The film was released in the UK as ''Danish Dentist on the Job.'' Plot A rich woman (Annie Birgit Garde) wants to endow her nephew (Ole Søltoft), who is a dental student, with a large fortune and her company. As she wants to make sure that he is a "real man", "into beer, pussy and horn music", before passing the estate on to him, she hires a prostitute. Rumors spread about her nephew's wealth, and women show interest. Finn Henriksen (29 January 1933 – 6 December 2008) was a Danish film director and screenwriter. He directed 17 films and wrote for 19 between 1960 and 1989. He was born in Randers, Denmark and died in Lyngby, Denmark. He is buried at Lundtofte Church, Lundtofte Cemetery. Ole Søltoft (8 January 1941 – 9 May 1999 in Kolding) was a Denmark, Danish actor who became an icon of the 1970s wave of Danish erotic feature film comedies. For over a decade he starred or co-starred in nearly all notable films in this genre and became hopelessly typecast, usually playing naive, likeable guys with a healthy sexual appetite. He is especially remembered for the Bedside-films, ''Bedside''-films and Zodiac-films, ''Zodiac''-films, though his big breakthrough was as the romantic lead in Annelise Meineche's ''Sytten'' (1965). The ''Bedside''-films is a series of eight feature films directed by John Hilbard in 1970 to 1976, which forms part of the wave of erotic films from Denmark. The eight films are connected by the Danish word "sengekant" (English: ''bedside'') in the title of each film.
