Taiyō No Kisetsu (2002)
is a Japanese language, Japanese drama TV miniseries which first aired on July 7, 2002. It starred Hideaki Takizawa and was directed by Nobuhiro Doi. The program was a remake of an earlier Season of the Sun (1956 film), film of the same name, released in 1956. Plot summary Tatsuya (Takizawa), a tormented college student who was once an all-around nice guy, now seems to be balancing a gigantic grudge on his shoulder. What the grudge is, has yet to be revealed, although it likely has something to do with his father and the poverty that plagues his life. For some unknown reason, Tatsuya has taken to hanging around with the richest child in school, basically a trusting, nice guy whom Tatsuya is out to destroy. He feels an uncontrollable urge to deface the rich kid's new car and chase after his fiancée. is a Japanese former actor, known for his break-out performance in the controversial movie '' Battle Royale''. Career His break-out performance was in the controversial movie '' Battle Royale'', in which he played the pacifistic Hiroki Sugimura (Boy #11). Takaoka then moved from muted heroics to active anti-heroism in portrayals of the grittier side of teenage violence, such as in ''Concrete''. The film was based on the events of Junko Furuta's sadistic murder by four youths in 1988. is a Japanese novel written in 1955 by Shintaro Ishihara, who later became a politician and was governor of Tokyo for 13 years from 1999 to 2012. It is the source of the name of the rebellious Zoku#1950s/60s, taiyōzoku () youth culture which emerged after World War II. The novel won the 1956 Akutagawa Prize.
