The (; ), commonly known as the , is a historic site, exhibition hall and museum complex located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris between the Champs-Élysées and the Seine, France. Tijana Bogdanović ( sr-cyr, Тијана Богдановић; born 5 May 1998) is a Serbian taekwondo athlete. Career Bogdanović pursued her interest in taekwondo at the age of four, and started actively competing since 2004. She pursued her higher studies at the Singidunum University in the field of psychology. She represented Serbia at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in the women's 49kg event. She clinched a bronze medal in the women's flyweight event during the 2015 World Taekwondo Championships. The taekwondo competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris ran from 7 to 10 August at the Grand Palais strip. 128 taekwondo fighters, with an equal distribution between men and women, competed across eight different weight categories (four per gender) at the Games, the same amount as the previous editions since Beijing 2008. Each weight category was composed of sixteen taekwondo fighters; however, this figure may increase if additional athletes are invited and selected from the Refugee Olympic Team. Qualification The taekwondo competition for Paris will feature a total of 128 athletes (64 men and 64 women) across eight different weight categories, the same amount as the previous editions since Beijing 2008. Oumaima El-Bouchti (, born 7 October 2000) is a Moroccan taekwondo practitioner. She is a gold medalist four time at the African Taekwondo Championships. She represented Morocco at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Josipa Kafadar
Josipa Kafadar (born February 2, 2001) is a Canadian taekwondo athlete. Kafadar is a former World Junior medallist and has qualified to compete for Canada at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Career Kafadar's first major international result came in 2018, when she won the silver medal at the World Junior Championships in Hammamet, Tunisia. Kafadar lost the gold medal match by one point to Vietnam's Thi Kim Ngan Ho. Kafadar's senior career has seen her win gold medals at the 2023 British and Luxembourg Opens respectively, among other successes. Dina Pouryounes Langeroudi (; born 1 January 1992) is a taekwondo athlete from Iran, who lives in the Netherlands and competes for the IOC Refugee Team. She participated in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and 2024 Paris Olympics. Career Pouryounes competed in her first major international event as a senior at the Asian Championships in Ho Chi Minh City in 2012, where she claimed a bronze medal in the women's 46 kg competition. She was a member of the Iranian national team for eight years. Since moving to the Netherlands, she competes for the latter as well as the refugee team under the IOC team flag. Michelle Tau (born 1 April 1997) is a Lesotho taekwondo athlete and beauty pageant contestant. Michelle Tau was born on 1 April 1997 in Lesotho. Tau competed in the 2017 Face of Beauty International pageant in New Delhi after being crowned Face of Lesotho. Tau regularly competes in world taekwondo tournaments, taking home medals at the 2019 and 2023 Taekwondo at the African Games, African Games and the 2021 and 2023 African Taekwondo Championships.
