Tariana Language
Tariana (also Tariano) is an endangered Maipurean (also known as Arawak) language spoken along the Vaupés River in Amazonas, Brazil by approximately 100 people. Another approximately 1,500 people in the upper and middle Vaupés River area identify themselves as ethnic Tariana but do not speak the language fluently. The Indigenous people of the Vaupés region, including the Tariana and East Tucano peoples, are linguistically exogamous; they consider fellow speakers of their languages blood relatives. In this region, languages—like tribal identity—are passed down through patrilineal descent, and as such are kept strictly separate from one another, with minimal lexical borrowing occurring among them. The Indigenous people of this region traditionally spoke between three and ten other languages, including their mother's and father's tongues—which were usually different due to the widespread cultural practice of linguistic exogamy—and Spanish and/or Portuguese. TAE Connector
TAE (''Telekommunikations-Anschluss-Einheit'' or telecommunications connection unit) is the Germany, German standard for telephone plugs and sockets. The standard covers two TAE types: F  ("Fernsprechgerät": for telephones) and N  ("Nebengerät" or "Nichtfernsprechgerät": for other devices such as answering machines and modems). U coded sockets and plugs are universal connectors that are suitable for both device types. E-coded connectors that are used in EAD-sockets are not intended for telephony applications. History The TAE system was introduced in the late 1980s before the German government-owned institution Deutsche Bundespost (DBP, German Federal Post) was divided into Deutsche Post (postal service), Deutsche Telekom (telecommunication services) and Deutsche Postbank, Postbank (financial services). Previously, the older type connectors had been used, or telephones had been hardwired to their () wall sockets, and only officially approved telephones (legall ...

TAE Buffer
TAE buffer is a buffer solution containing a mixture of Tris base, acetic acid and EDTA. In molecular biology, it is used in agarose electrophoresis typically for the separation of nucleic acids such as DNA and RNA. It is made up of Tris-acetate buffer, usually at pH 8.3, and EDTA, which sequesters divalent cations. TAE has a lower buffer capacity than TBE buffer, TBE and can easily become exhausted, but linear, double stranded DNA runs faster in TAE. According to studies by Brody and Kern, sodium boric acid is a superior and cheaper conductive media for most DNA gel electrophoresis applications. Uses TAE (Tris-acetate-EDTA) buffer is used as both a running buffer and in agarose gels. Its use in denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis methods for broad-range mutation analysis has also been described. TAE has been used at various concentrations to study the mobility of DNA in solution with and without sodium chloride. However, high concentrations of sodium chloride (and many othe ...

TAE – Trabajos Aéreos y Enlaces S.A. was an airline based in Spain that operated from 1967 until 1981. It was founded in March 1966 in Bilbao and began operations in 1967. Company history TAE was set up in 1957 but did not begin flight operations until April 1967. They intended to operate an ex-Air France L-1049 Super Constellation in 1966 but it was not taken up. It was not until three years later that operations were restated under new management by leasing two Douglas DC-8s. Operations were concentrated on charter and inclusive tour flights, mainly from Germany (Düsseldorf). In 1975, an SE 210 Caravelle was acquired followed by a second Caravelle in 1976. In 1975, Air Spain ceased operations and TAE leased one further Douglas DC-8-20 to fill in the vacuum in the charter market. The year 1980 b ...
