Tacarigua De Brión
Tacarigua (originally San Pablo de Tacarigua) is a town in the East–West Corridor of Trinidad and Tobago. It is located east of Tunapuna, north of Trincity and west of Arouca. It is on the banks of the Tacarigua River. The city is governed by the Tunapuna–Piarco Regional Corporation. Tacarigua was originally a Spanish ''encomienda'', prior to the relocation of the Amerindians to Arima in 1789. Some of the first mosques in the region were built at Tacarigua in 1850. West Indian cricket player Kieron Pollard was born there in 1987. There is a multisport facility in Tacarigua, the Racquet Sport Centre, which has been host to local and international tournaments in tennis, table tennis and badminton. TnT Tacarigua
Troponin T (shortened TnT or TropT) is a part of the troponin complex, which are proteins integral to the contraction of skeletal and heart muscles. They are expressed in skeletal and cardiac myocytes. Troponin T binds to tropomyosin and helps position it on actin, and together with the rest of the troponin complex, modulates contraction of striated muscle. The cardiac subtype of troponin T is especially useful in the laboratory diagnosis of heart attack because it is released into the blood-stream when damage to heart muscle occurs. It was discovered by the German physician Hugo A. Katus at the University of Heidelberg, who also developed the troponin T assay. Arima
Arima, officially The Royal Chartered Borough of Arima is the easternmost and second largest in area of the three boroughs of Trinidad and Tobago. It is geographically adjacent to Sangre Grande and Arouca at the south central foothills of the Northern Range. To the south is the Caroni–Arena Dam. Coterminous with Town of Arima since 1888, the borough of Arima is the fourth-largest municipality in population in the country (after Port of Spain, Chaguanas and San Fernando). The census estimated it had 33,606 residents in 2011. In 1887, the town petitioned Queen Victoria for municipal status as part of the celebration for the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria. This was granted in the following year, and Arima became a Royal Borough on 1 August 1888. 2018 Pan Am Badminton Championships
The XXII 2018 Pan Am Badminton Championships was a continental championships tournament of badminton in Pan America. This tournament was held as two events in different countries. From 15 to 18 February, the team event was held in Tacarigua, Trinidad and Tobago. From 26 to 29 April, the individual event was held in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Badminton is a racquet sport played using racket (sports equipment), racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net (device), net. Kieron Adrian Pollard (born 12 May 1987) is a Trinidadian cricketer, who captained the West Indies cricket team in limited overs cricket. He used to play in various T20 leagues around the globe as an all-rounder. He also used to captain MI Cape Town, MI Emirates and MI New York in the SA20, ILT20 and MLC respectively. He is currently playing for and captaining the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League. The ''encomienda'' () was a Spanish Labour (human activity), labour system that rewarded Conquistador, conquerors with the labour of conquered non-Christian peoples. In theory, the conquerors provided the labourers with benefits, including military protection and education. Tunapuna–Piarco Regional Corporation
Tunapuna–Piarco is one of the 9 regions of Trinidad and Tobago. It is the most populous region in the country by total population and the fifth-largest by total land area. Geographically located in Northern Trinidad, Tunapuna–Piarco shares its borders with the regions of San Juan–Laventille to the west, Couva–Tabaquite–Talparo to the south, the Borough of Chaguanas to the south-west, Sangre Grande to the east and the Caribbean Sea to the north.
