Table Tennis At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Men's Team
The men's team table tennis event was part of the table tennis programme at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The event took place from 5 to 9 August 2024 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. This was the last appearance of the Men's team event before replaced by Men's doubles event. Marking the doubles events returned at LA 2028, for the first time since Athens 2004. Format Teams were made up of three players. Each team match was made up of five individual matches and ended when either side has won three matches. The order of a team match was as follows: a doubles match, two singles matches, and if neither side had won three matches by this point, a maximum of two extra singles matches were played. Dimitrij Ovtcharov
Dimitrij Ovtcharov () or Dmytro Ovtcharov (; born 2 September 1988) is a Ukrainian-born German table tennis player. His father Mikhail (or Mikhaylo), a Soviet table tennis champion in 1982, moved his family to Germany shortly after Dimitrij was born. Since 2008, Ovtcharov has won a total of two silver and four bronze medals at the Olympics, making him second most decorated male Olympian in the table tennis category in terms of the number of medals awarded. Tiago André Barata Feio Peixoto Apolónia (born 28 July 1986) is a Portuguese table tennis player for German club TTF LIEBHERR Ochsenhausen and Portugal. Marcos André Sousa da Silva Freitas (born 8 April 1988) is a Portuguese table tennis player who won European Championships medals in singles, doubles, and team events. He represented Portugal four times at the Summer Olympics. Career Freitas participated at the 2008 Summer Olympics where he got knocked out in the round of 64. Chuang Chih-yuan (; born 2 April 1981) is a Taiwanese table tennis player. He won the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals in 2002 and doubles title at the 2013 World Table Tennis Championships. Career Junior Jang started playing international matches from the South Korean cadet boys' team in 2009 – Bahrain Junior Open held in Manama, Bahrain.
