Table Rock, Niagara Falls
Table Rock was a large shelf of rock that jutted out from the Canadian shore of Niagara Falls, Ontario, just north of the present day observation and commercial complex. Revealed in the mid-18th century as the Horseshoe Falls receded, Table Rock was the first major vantage point for tourists of the early and mid-19th century. In 1818, the first part of the rock collapsed, followed by minor rockfalls in 1828 and 1829. The most notable rockfall occurred in July 1850, when roughly one-third of the point collapsed into the Niagara Gorge. A driver was washing his carriage on the point when the rock structure gave way. Table Rock Welcome Centre
The Table Rock Welcome Centre (also known as Table Rock Centre and formerly as Table Rock House) is a retail and observation complex located in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada at the brink of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, several hundred feet south of the former rock formation which bears its name. The complex consists of two buildings connected by an indoor pedestrian mall and anchored by "The Grand Hall", a multi-level indoor observation complex, completed in 2008. The north building, originally constructed in 1926, houses a first-floor retail store and the Welcome Centre, plus the ticket offices for the tunnels Journey Behind the Falls attraction. The upper level contains multiple specialty stores, and an additional outdoor observation plaza. Table Rock (Ada County, Idaho)
Table Rock is a mountain pillar in the western United States, located just south-east of downtown Boise, Idaho, in the foothills of the Boise Range of the Rocky Mountains. Its summit elevation of above sea level is above the city center. Located between downtown Boise and the foothills, Table Rock has multiple caves and ledges and overlooks the Treasure Valley. A prominent local landmark, it is a popular spot for day hiking from the Old State Penitentiary which offers access to views of the Treasure Valley, Owyhee Mountains, and the Boise Foothills themselves. Table Rock was a village in Taney County, Missouri, United States. At the 2000 census, the population was 229. It was part of the Branson, Missouri Micropolitan Statistical Area. It was located just east of the Table Rock Lake dam on the White River. It was approximately southwest from downtown Branson. In 2004, Table Rock was annexed by the city of Branson. Geography The site was located just northeast of the Table Rock dam site on Missouri Route 165. The Pointe Royale Village and country club were to the southeast of the community. Table Rock (North Carolina)
Table Rock is a mountain in the east rim of Linville Gorge, part of Pisgah National Forest (Grandfather Ranger District) in North Carolina. It features a distinctive rock formation, and is a prominent peak in the area. The peak makes for a quick hike from a nearby parking area, and is also very popular for rock climbing. It is described as having a "national reputation of being the best place to climb in the Southeastern U.S.", and the "hub of climbing activity in Linville Gorge". Table Rock is a ghost town in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, United States. The former town is part of a census-designated place. Table Rock Reservation was a short-lived Indian reservation north of the Rogue River in Oregon, United States. It was established by treaty with the Rogue River Indians in 1853. Following the conclusion of the Rogue River Wars in 1856, the Native American inhabitants were moved to other reservations. The reservation was in Southern Oregon, between Upper Table Rock and Evans Creek. In 2025, the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indianannounced the purchase ofapproximately 2,000 acres of privately owned property within the original Table Rock Reserve in southern Oregon. Table Rock Lake
Table Rock Lake is an artificial lake or reservoir in the Ozarks of southwestern Missouri and northwestern Arkansas in the United States. Designed, built and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the lake is impounded by Table Rock Dam, which was constructed from 1954 to 1958 on the White River creating the lake. The lake is a popular attraction for the city of Branson, Missouri, and the nearby town of Shell Knob, Missouri. There are several commercial marinas along the lake, and Table Rock State Park is located on the east side, both north and south of Table Rock Dam. Downstream from the dam, the Missouri Department of Conservation operates a fish hatchery, which is used to stock trout in Lake Taneycomo, which begins immediately downstream from the Table Rock Dam.
