Taake
Taake () is a Norwegian black metal band from Bergen, formed in 1993 and originally named Thule. The band's one continuous member is Hoest, who writes all and records most of the music. Taake has released eight full-length albums and several EPs. The band describes itself as "True Norwegian black metal", and Hoest said he wants to "awaken national pride and cultural nostalgia" in Norwegian listeners as well as to remind people "that Hell is right here on Earth and that humans can be demons".Taake interview, March 2009 Lords of Metal e-zine. Hoest
Ørjan Stedjeberg (born 24 September 1977), better known by his stage name Hoest, is a Norwegian musician who is the founder and songwriter of black metal band Taake. Since the '90s, he has been the band's sole member, recording most instruments for the studio releases – counting eight studio albums and several EPs. As a frontman, Hoest is known for his energetic live performances. He is also a member of the band Deathcult, the current live vocalist for Gorgoroth, and has previously been a member of Ragnarok (Norwegian band), Ragnarok and Ravengod. Career In 1993, Hoest—then known as ''Ulvhedin''—formed the band ''Thule'' together with drummer ''Svartulv''. After the release of two demos, in 1995, the band changed their name to ''Taake'', while Ulvhedin adopted the stage name Hoest (Norwegian for "autumn"). Roger Rasmussen (born 12 October 1974), better known by the stage name Nattefrost, is a Norwegian musician, best known for being the vocalist and a founding member of black metal band Carpathian Forest. He also fronts the side projects World Destroyer and Kreft, and since 2003, his own solo project. Biography Rasmussen was born in Sandnes, Rogaland County, Norway. His first musical ventures were with the black metal band The Childmolesters, which he founded in 1990 alongside his future Carpathian Forest bandmate Johnny "Nordavind" Krøvel. Gaahlskagg is a Norwegian black metal band from Sunnfjord, Norway. The band was founded as a side project in 1998 by Gaahl and Skagg. Gaahlskagg released one studio album before going on hiatus in 2001 due to Gaahl's commitment to Gorgoroth. History Gaahlskagg was founded in 1998 by singer Gaahl and guitarist Skagg, who were both members of the band Sigfader at the time. The duo entered Grieghallen Studio in 1999 and recorded their debut album with the help of session members Tormentor, Terje Martinussen and Herbrand Larsen.
