However, Doctor of Ministry is generally understood as a professional doctorate, whereas Doctor of Divinity is academic doctorate in the UK and a honorary doctorate in the USA where it is often awarded as ''honoris causa''. United States In the United States, some of the older theological seminaries began offering the ThD as an equivalent to the research Doctor of Philosophy. In Princeton Theological Seminary, for example, this practice was inherited from the German system of education, since the pr ...

Total Harmonic Distortion
The total harmonic distortion (THD or THDi) is a measurement of the harmonic distortion present in a signal and is defined as the ratio of the sum of the powers of all harmonic components to the power of the fundamental frequency. Distortion factor, a closely related term, is sometimes used as a synonym. In audio systems, lower distortion means that the components in a loudspeaker, amplifier or microphone or other equipment produce a more accurate reproduction of an audio recording. In radio communications, devices with lower THD tend to produce less unintentional interference with other electronic devices. Since harmonic distortion can potentially widen the frequency spectrum of the output emissions from a device by adding signals at multiples of the input frequency, devices with high THD are less suitable in applications such as spectrum sharing and spectrum sensing. In power systems, lower THD implies lower peak currents, less heating, lower electromagnetic emissions, and le ...

Total Hi Def
Total Hi Def Disc, also called Total HD or THD, was a planned optical disc format that included both of the rival high-definition optical disc formats, Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD. It was officially announced January 8, 2007 at the Warner Bros. press conference held at CES 2007. One side was to contain a single or dual-layer Blu-ray Disc, and the other was to contain a single or dual-layer HD DVD. In November 2007, Warner Brothers put development of the Total HD discs on hold for an indefinite amount of time after several delays. Warner announced one of the reasons for doing so as a lack of interest in it from other major studios. Finally, on January 4, 2008, Warner Bros. Pictures announced that they were discontinuing HD DVD support, putting an end to THD's development.
