TAC '90
Takdier Boys–Amardeep Combinatie 1990 is an association football club from The Hague, Netherlands. In 2020–21, its Sunday first squad plays for the first time in the Hoofdklasse and Saturday first squad plays in the Vierde Klasse. History TAC '90 was founded on 9 November 1990 as a union of two Indo-Surinamese immigrant clubs, Takdier Boys and Amardeep. In its first season it played at the Machiel Vrijenhoeklaan in Kijkduin. The next season it moved its facilities to the Aagje Dekenlaan in Moerwijk. Until 2005 it shared the grounds with SCSV De Ster. On 9 November 2013, the day TAC '90 celebrated its 23rd birthday, the home grounds were renamed Sportpark De Verlichting (Dutch for Enlightenment). In 2016, the Saturday squad relegated to the Vierde Klasse. In 2019 the Sunday squad won a section championship in Tweede Klasse C and promoted to the Eerste Klasse. 2020–21 Hoofdklasse
The 2020–21 season of the Hoofdklasse was played in four leagues, two for Saturday and two for Sunday. The champions of each league were to be promoted directly to the Derde Divisie; other teams could have been promoted through play-offs. The 2020–21 Hoofdklasse started on Saturday 29 August 2020 and ended abruptly on 24 February 2021. Effects of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic During the previous season, on 31 March 2020, the KNVB decided to cancel all competitions at amateur level. They also decided, for those competitions involved, there would be no final standings, and therefore no champions, initially no promotions and no relegations. On 26 May, former Derde Divisie club ONS Sneek was granted a voluntary demotion to the Hoofdklasse for financial reasons. Later on 12 June, the KNVB officially announced that the Derde Divisie would again consist of 36 teams in 2020–21. Winston Faerber
Winston Faerber (born 27 March 1971) is a Dutch former professional footballer, born in Suriname. Club career Faerber began his career at ADO Den Haag. He made his professional debut for the club at the age of 23 when he played in a 3–1 defeat against TOP Oss. He established himself in the first team and played over 150 games for the club over the next 5 years. In 1999, Faerber left Den Haag on a free transfer to play for Cardiff City, making his debut in a 1–1 draw with Millwall. Faerber was a regular for the side, playing in over 30 league games as well as making appearances in both the FA Cup and League Cup. His only goal for the club came in his second league appearance in a 3–2 win over Oxford United. Jack Van Den Berg
Jack B. van den Berg (born 7 February 1959) is a Dutch football manager and a former player. While coaching ASWH, he won the 2005 national amateur championship and the 2006 Rinus Michels Award for managers in nonprofessional leagues. During a long stint at BVV Barendrecht Van den Berg became a full-time coach. In 2015–2016 he coached the first squads of two small town rivals, promoting both ASWH to the Saturday Derde Divisie and IFC to the Sunday Hoofdklasse. From February until October 2018 he coached VV Katwijk, winning a Tweede Divisie championship. Playing career Jack van den Berg was born in Kralingen, Rotterdam. He started playing at SV Lombardijen. Ido's Football Club, usually known as IFC, is a Dutch association football club from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. Its grounds are at Sportpark Schildman. History First years Ido's Football Club was established on 20 October 1927, 2 years before its Saturday football rival ASWH, and initially played football only on Sundays. The Vierde Divisie (; "Fourth Division"), formerly known as Hoofdklasse () is the second-highest league of amateur football in the Netherlands, and the fifth tier in general. Background The league was divided into two sections: Saturday and Sunday. This was a result of the traditional pillarisation (), the segregation of Dutch society. The ''Saturday'' clubs are mainly Protestant Christian clubs, who were not allowed to play on Sunday. The ''Sunday'' clubs were in general Catholic and working class clubs, whose players had to work on Saturday and therefore could only play on Sunday. Although the pillarisation ended in the 1960s and 1970s, the clubs and the league maintained this division until 2023.
