Sungei Bedok MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit interchange and terminal station on the Downtown line and Thomson–East Coast line in Bedok planning area, Singapore. The station is being built east of where Upper East Coast Road becomes Bedok Road, and will serve residents of the Eastwood estate. Nearby facilities include the Bedok Food Centre, Eastwood Centre and the Laguna National Golf & Country Club. The station is named after Sungei Bedok, a small river within its vicinity. Despite its name and location, the station is not contiguous to either Bedok North or Bedok Reservoir stations of the Downtown line. Bedok
Bedok () is a planning area and matured residential town located in the geographical region of Tanah Merah along the south-eastern coast of the East Region of Singapore. Bedok is bounded by five other planning areas: Paya Lebar to the north, Hougang to the northwest, Tampines to the northeast and east, Geylang to the west and Marine Parade to the southwest. It also shares a maritime boundary with the Singapore Strait to the south and southeast. Population wise, Bedok is the largest planning area in the country, being home to approximately 280,000 residents. This high demographic is largely explained by the affordable public housing in Bedok New Town, due to its relatively distant location from the Central Area. The East Coast Integrated Depot (Chinese: 东海岸综合车厂; Malay: Depot Bersepadu East Coast), is a future integrated bus and train depot located in Changi that will serve the East West Line, Downtown Line and Thomson-East Coast Line of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) in Singapore. The depot, with an expected completion date of 2025, will be located beside the current site of Changi Depot, which will be demolished. The station will be located next to Temasek Secondary School, at the intersection of Upper East Coast Road and Bedok South Road.
