"Sky" is a song by American rapper and singer Playboi Carti. It was released as the nineteenth track from Carti's second studio album, ''Whole Lotta Red'', on December 25, 2020. The track peaked at number four on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. It is well known for its viral “Wake up/ It’s the first of the month” line, which is part of a monthly TikTok trend on the first of each month. Carter was initially signed to local underground label Awful Records prior to signing with ASAP Mob's AWGE Label under Interscope Records. ''Whole Lotta Red'' is the second studio album by American rapper Playboi Carti. It was released on December 25, 2020, by Interscope Records as well as ASAP Rocky's AWGE label. Work on the album commenced in late 2018 and concluded in November 2020. The album consists of 24 tracks and features guest appearances from Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Future. The album was executive produced by West, who also appears on the song " Go2DaMoon".
