Shaun Peter Murphy (born 10 August 1982) is an English professional snooker player who won the 2005 World Snooker Championship, 2005 World Championship. Nicknamed "The Magician", Murphy is noted for his straight Cue stick, cue action and his long potting. Born in Harlow, Essex and raised in Irthlingborough, North Northamptonshire, Murphy turned professional in 1998. His victory at the 2005 World Snooker Championship, World Championship was considered a major surprise as he was only the third qualifier to win the title after Alex Higgins and Terry Griffiths. Shaun Peter Murphy (born 5 November 1970) is an Australian former soccer player. His club career included stints with Notts County (1992–1997), West Bromwich Albion (1997–1999), Sheffield United (1999–2003) and Crystal Palace (2001–02) in England, before returning to Australia for one season to captain Perth Glory (2003–04). He was a member of the Australian national team and scored a winner against Brazil for Australia in the 2001 Confederations Cup third place play-off match. Shaun Murphy (born 1990) is an Irish hurler who plays for Wexford Senior Championship club Oulart–The Ballagh and at inter-county level with the Wexford senior hurling team. He usually lines out at left wing-back. Playing career Waterford Institute of Technology Murphy studied at the Waterford Institute of Technology and joined the senior hurling team in his second year at the institute. On 1 March 2014, he was an unused substitute when Waterford IT defeated the Cork Institute of Technology by 0-17 to 0-12 to win the Fitzgibbon Cup. Oulart–The Ballagh Murphy joined the Oulart–The Ballagh club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. He joined the club's top adult team during the 2009 Wexford Senior Championship. Shaun Murphy (born May 6, 1948) is an American blues and R&B singer songwriter, best known for her powerhouse singing style. Sometimes credited as Stoney, her recording career started in 1971 with Motown Records. Career Murphy shared the stage with many Detroit-based bands, including Wilson Mower Pursuit and Jake Wade and the Soul Searchers, in venues such as Detroit's Grande Ballroom, as well as the first Ann Arbor Blues Festival in 1969, along with various large state fairground music venues. She was soon noticed by an employee of Motown in a touring theater production along with Texas native Meat Loaf. The two were signed by Rare Earth Records, a division of Motown Records, as Stoney & Meatloaf (band), Stoney and Meatloaf in 1971. ''The Good Doctor'' is an American medical drama television series based on the 2013 South Korean series of the same name. Actor Daniel Dae Kim noticed the original series and bought the rights for his production company. He began adapting the series and, in 2015, eventually shopped it to CBS Television Studios. The Shaun Murphy Band is a "Blues" musical band. The group was founded in early 2009 by veteran blues and Soul music, soul singer Shaun Murphy (singer), Shaun Murphy. Within a matter of a few weeks after release of the band's first album, ''Livin' The Blues (album), ''Livin' The Blues''', the album jumped to position 10 on the Roots Report Top 50 Blues Weekly Chart.
