Sharabi (1964 Film)
''Sharabi'' () is a 1964 Hindi-language drama film directed by Raj Rishi and starring Madhubala and Dev Anand. The film tells the story of a man and his obsession with alcohol. ''Sharabi'' was a commercial success and one of the top-grossing films of 1964. For Madhubala, although the film released five years before her death, it was her final release in her lifetime. Plot Kamala and Keshav are in love and want to marry, but his excessive drinking habit and carelessness has caused his father's demise and makes Kamala's father to postpone their marriage. Madhubala
Madhubala (born Mumtaz Jehan Begum Dehlavi; 14 February 1933 – 23 February 1969) was an Indian actress and producer who worked in Hindi-language films. She ranked as one of the highest-paid entertainers in India in the post-independence era, that coincided with the rise of Indian cinema on global levels. In a career spanning more than 20 years, Madhubala was predominantly active for only a decade but had appeared in over 60 films by the time of her death in 1969. Rajendra Krishan
Rajinder Krishan Duggal (6 June 1919 – 23 September 1987) also credited as Rajendra Krishan, was an Indian poet, lyricist and screenwriter. Biography Rajinder Krishan was born in a Duggal family at Jalalpur Jattan on 6 June 1919, in Gujrat District (in present-day Pakistan). Even when he was studying in the eighth class he was attracted towards poetry. In his early work life he had a clerk's job in the municipal office in Simla, where he toiled up to 1942. During that period, he read eastern and western authors extensively and wrote poetry. He expresses his indebtedness to the Urdu poetry of Firaq Gorakhpuri and Ahsan Danish, as well as to the Hindi poems of Pant and Nirala.
