''Sandoricum koetjape'', the santol, sentul or cotton fruit, is a tropical fruit native to maritime Southeast Asia (Malesia). Origin and distribution The santol is native to the Malesian Phytochorion, floristic region, but have been introduced to Indochina, Sri Lanka, India, northern Australia, Mauritius, and Seychelles. It is commonly cultivated throughout these regions and the fruits are seasonally abundant in the local and international markets. Botanical description There are two varieties of santol fruit, previously considered two different species, the yellow variety and the red. The difference is in the color that the older leaves turn before falling. The red appears to be more common and the reddish leaves mixed with the green ones add to the distinction and attractiveness of the tree. Sentul City (previously Bukit Sentul) is a modern housing area situated at Sentul, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency, in West Java, Indonesia. Its geographical coordinates are 6 52' 0" South, 112 26' 0" East and its original name (with diacritics) is Sentul. Located near Bogor, it is about 48 km south of Indonesia's capital city, Jakarta. Sentul International Circuit is a 50,000-capacity permanent motor racing circuit located at Sentul City, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency, West Java, Indonesia, near the toll gate of Jakarta towards Bogor city and areas at the foot of Jonggol Mountains Its pit facilities have easy access to the Jagorawi Toll Road. The current circuit is a truncated version of the original design. Approximately 40% shorter than the original, the circuit runs clockwise and is predominantly used for motorcycle racing and the Asian F3 series. Sentul is a suburb located within the northern part of the city centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the constituency of Batu. The vicinity of Sentul is sandwiched between Segambut and Titiwangsa. History Sentul is a former railway hub famous for its old-world charm, historical temples and prewar shops. During World War II, Sentul was one of the last towns in Kuala Lumpur that was heavily bombed by the British B-29 planes without any warning on 19 February 1945. The bomb targets were two rail complexes managed by Marai Tetsudo, the Japanese name for the former Federated Malay States Railway (FMSR). The destruction of the central workshop signified the end of the Japanese Occupation in Malaya.
