Santa María de Cayón is a municipality in the Provinces of Spain, province and Autonomous communities of Spain, autonomous community of Cantabria, northern Spain. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 9,167 inhabitants. The People's Party ( es, Partido Popular ; known mostly by its acronym, PP ) is a conservative and Christian-democratic political party in Spain. The People's Party was a 1989 re-foundation of People's Alliance (AP), a party led by former minister of the dictatorship Manuel Fraga and founded back in 1976 as alliance of post-Francoist proto-parties. The new party combined the conservative AP with several small Christian democratic and liberal parties (the party call this fusion of views "the Reformist Centre"). Totero (Santa María De Cayón)
The Tutelo (also Totero, Totteroy, Tutera; Yesan in Tutelo) were Native American people living above the Fall Line in present-day Virginia and West Virginia. They spoke a Siouan dialect of the Tutelo language thought to be similar to that of their neighbors, the Monacan and Manahoac nations. Under pressure from English settlers and Seneca Iroquois, they joined with other Virginia Siouan tribes in the late 17th century and became collectively known as the Nahyssan. By 1740, they had largely left Virginia and migrated north to seek protection from their former Iroquois opponents. They were adopted by the Cayuga tribe of New York in 1753. Ultimately, their descendants migrated into Canada. Sarón is the largest town in Santa María de Cayón, a municipality in Cantabria, Spain. It was founded in 1876 in a road intersection by a landowner from nearby La Abadilla, whose name was Antonio Saro y Galbán. The name of the town comes from his first surname.
