Sangham (1954 Film)
''Sangham'' () is a 1954 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film, produced by M. Murugan, M. Saravanan and M. Kumaran of AVM Productions and directed by M. V. Raman. It stars Vyjayanthimala, Anjali Devi, N. T. Rama Rao and S. Balachander, with music composed by R. Sudarsanam. Plot The story is a tale of two friends, Rani (Vyjayanthimala) and Kamini (Anjali Devi). Rani is a feminist to the core. Kamini's father Ramanatham (V. Nagayya), a man of progressive views, had married a woman from another caste and so finds it difficult to get a groom for his daughter. One day, Rani and Kamini have an altercation with medicos Raja (N. T. Rama Rao) and Chandram (S. Balachander). Raja is attracted by Kamini's simplicity and beauty, while Chandram falls for Rani. Vyjayanthimala
Vyjayanthimala (born 13 August 1936) is a former Indian actress, dancer and parliamentarian. She is the recipient of several accolades, including two BFJA Awards and five Filmfare Awards. She made her screen debut at the age of thirteen with the Tamil film '' Vaazhkai'' (1949), and followed this with a role in the Telugu film '' Jeevitham'' (1950). Her first work in Hindi cinema was the social guidance film '' Bahar'' (1951), which she headlined, and achieved her breakthrough with the romantic film '' Nagin'' (1954). Pithapuram Nageswara Rao (5 May 1930 – 5 March 1996) was an Indian playback singer who worked in the early period of Telugu cinema. He sang thousands of songs, mostly of a comedic nature, in the 1950s and 1960s along with Madhavapeddi Satyam and others. He also sang for a couple of movies in Kannada. Madhavapeddi Satyam (11 March 1922 – 18 December 2000) was an Indian playback singer and actor who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He entered films as a singer-actor in Y. V. Rao's Tamil-Hindi bilingual movie ''Ramadas'' in the year 1946, playing the role of Kabir. However, he became more popular as a playback singer due to his booming voice. His voice suited artists like S. V. Ranga Rao, Relangi and Ramana Reddy. He also sang for others like Akkineni Nageswara Rao, N.T. Rama Rao, Jaggayya and Padmanabham.
