Sydney Metro City
Sydney Metro City and Southwest is a rapid transit construction project in Sydney, Australia. The project will extend the Metro North West & Bankstown Line, Metro Northwest and Bankstown Line from on the North Shore, to in the city's southwest via the Sydney central business district. The line is part of the Sydney Metro system. The project consists of two main components. The first is a new twin-tunnel rail crossing under Sydney Harbour and through the city to with seven new underground stations in central Sydney, making it Australia's List of tunnels in Australia, longest tunnel. The second is the conversion of 11 stations on a portion of the existing Bankstown railway line, Bankstown line on the Sydney Trains network for use by Automatic train operation, autonomous trains. Metro North West & Bankstown Line
The Metro North West & Bankstown Line (numbered M1) is a rapid transit line, rapid transit rail line in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The first and currently only line on the Sydney Metro network, it commenced operation on 26 May 2019, originally running between and , before the line was extended on 19 August 2024 to . Lidcombe railway station is a heritage-listed railway station located on the Main Suburban line, serving the Sydney suburb of Lidcombe. North Sydney Railway Station
North Sydney railway station is a suburban railway station located on the North Shore line, serving the North Shore suburb of North Sydney. It is served by Sydney Trains' T1 North Shore Line and T9 Northern Line services. Chatswood Railway Station
Chatswood railway station is a rapid transit and suburban railway station located in the City of Willoughby suburb of Chatswood. It is served by Sydney Trains services; the T1 North Shore & Western Line and the T9 Northern Line, and Sydney Metro North West & Bankstown Line services. History Chatswood station opened on 1 January 1890 when the North Shore line opened from Hornsby to St Leonards. An island platform was built on 23 May 1900 and a third dock platform brought into use on 12 July 1919. North West Rail Link
Sydney Metro North West was a rapid transit project that constructed the first section of the Metro Northwest and Bankstown Line through the north-western suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The project included the conversion of the existing Epping to Chatswood rail link to metro standards and connects the suburbs of Rouse Hill and Chatswood via Castle Hill and Epping. The project was managed by Transport for NSW. The line is part of the Sydney Metro system.
