Sveriges Television's Christmas Calendar
''Swedish Television's Christmas calendar'' () previously ''Swedish Television's Advent calendar'' () is a Christmas calendar TV series mainly for children, broadcast by Sveriges Television (Sweden's national public television broadcaster) since 1960 and has developed into an essential part of contemporary Swedish Christmas tradition. Every series consists of 24 episodes (with a few exceptions), broadcast daily 1–24 December. The theme for most series have some connection to Christmas. Prior to 1971, it was called . Sveriges Radio also has a tradition of broadcasting a similar series on the radio each year and prior to 1973, it was always the same series on the radio and on TV (with a few differences in adaptation, depending on the medium), but since then, it has been a different series on the radio and on TV. John Bertil "Beppe" Wolgers (10 November 1928 – 6 August 1986) was a Swedish author, poet, translator, lyricist, actor, entertainer and artist. Career Wolgers was born in Stockholm, Sweden and was the son of forest ranger John Wolgers and Gerda (née Korsgren). He attended Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia, United States from 1947 to 1948 and Poppius journalistskola and Otte Skölds målarskola from 1946 to 1947. Wolgers was a journalist at ''Stockholms-Tidningen'' from 1960 to 1961. Wolgers had also exhibits together with Ernfrid Bogstedt. Tage Ivar Roland Danielsson (; 5 February 1928 – 13 October 1985) was a Swedes, Swedish author, actor, comedian, poet and film director. He worked together with Hans Alfredson in the comedy duo Hasse & Tage.
