Superman Film Series
DC Comics's ''Superman'' franchise, based on the character of the same name created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in June 1938, has seen the release of various films since its inception. The character debuted in cinemas in a series of animated shorts beginning in 1941 and was the protagonist of two movie serials in 1948 and 1950. An independent studio, Lippert Pictures, released the first Superman feature film, '' Superman and the Mole Men'', starring George Reeves, in 1951. In 1973, the film rights to the Superman character were purchased by Ilya Salkind, Alexander Salkind, and Pierre Spengler. After multiple scripts and several years in development, Richard Donner was hired as director, and he shot two films, ''Superman'' (1978) (marketed as ''Superman: The Movie''), and ''Superman II'' (1980), at the same time, both starring Christopher Reeve. Donner had filmed 75 percent of ''Superman II'' before it was decided to suspend shooting on the first film. The Salkinds fire ...

Superman (serial)
''Superman'' is a 1948 15-part Columbia Pictures film serial based on the comic book character Superman. It stars an uncredited Kirk Alyn (billed on-screen only by his character's name, Superman; but credited as Kirk Alyn on the promotional posters) and Noel Neill as Lois Lane. It was the first live-action appearance of Superman on film. The serial was directed by Thomas Carr (who later directed many early episodes of the '' Adventures of Superman'' television series) and Spencer Gordon Bennet, produced by Sam Katzman, and shot in and around Los Angeles, California. It was originally screened at movie matinées, and after the first three scene-setting chapters, every episode ends in a cliffhanger. The Superman-in-flight scenes are animations, in part due to the small production budget. A tremendous financial success, the serial made Kirk Alyn famous and launched Noel Neill's career. A sequel serial, '' Atom Man vs. Superman'', also directed by Bennet, was released in 1950. ...

Dawn Of Justice
Dawn is the time that marks the beginning of twilight before sunrise. It is recognized by the diffuse sky radiation, appearance of indirect sunlight being Rayleigh scattering, scattered in Earth's atmosphere, when the centre of the Sun's disc has reached 18° below the observer's horizon. This morning twilight period will last until sunrise (when the Sun's upper limb breaks the horizon), when daylight, direct sunlight outshines the light scattering by particles, diffused light. Etymology "Dawn" derives from the Old English verb , "to become day". Types of dawn Dawn begins with the first sight of lightness in the morning, and continues until the Sun breaks the horizon. The morning twilight is divided in three phases, which are determined by the angular distance of the centre of the Sun (degree (angle), degrees below the horizon) in the morning. These are astronomical, nautical and civil twilight. Astronomical dawn Astronomical dawn begins when the center of the Sun is 18 d ...
