Alfred Stillé
Alfred Stillé (October 30, 1813 – September 24, 1900) was an American physician and medical educator. He was a professor of medicine at Pennsylvania Medical College from 1864 to 1884 and at the University of Pennsylvania. He served as Chair of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and was one of the first physicians to differentiate between typhus and typhoid fever. He helped to establish the American Medical Association and served as president from 1871 to 1872. Early life and education Stillé was born on October 30, 1813, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to John and Maria (Wagner) Stillé. He studied classics at Yale University, but was expelled for his participation in the Conic Sections Rebellion. He transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and received an A.B. degree in 1832. John Kenneth Stille
John Kenneth Stille (May 8, 1930 – July 19, 1989) was an American chemist who discovered the Stille reaction. He received B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Arizona before serving in the Navy during the Korean War. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, where he studied under Carl Shipp Marvel. Stille began his independent career at the University of Iowa in 1957 before moving to Colorado State University in 1977. While at the University of Arizona, Stille met his wife-to-be, Dolores Engelking. He and Dolores were married in 1958 and had two sons, John Robert and James Kenneth. Hans Wilhelm Stille (8 October 1876 – 26 December 1966) was an influential Germany, German geologist working primarily on tectonics and the collation of tectonic events during the Phanerozoic. Giles Stille
Giles Kevin Stille (born 10 November 1958) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder in the Football League for Brighton & Hove Albion. He went on to coach and manage in Sweden. He is the manager of Swedish Division 1 side Assyriska. Life and career Stille was born in 1958 in Westminster. He attended Epsom College, a rugby-playing school, and took a degree in social history at Westfield College while playing football part-time for Kingstonian. He joined Brighton & Hove Albion in 1979, and turned professional after he graduated. Stille Musel
The Stille Musel, often just called the Musel by locals, is a small river about 14 km long, which has its source between Mühlhausen near Schwenningen and Hochemmingen at the Türnhalde near the B 523, flows through the Wittmannstal and flows into the Salinensee at Bad Dürrheim. It leaves the Salinensee again, flows through the centre of Bad Dürrheim and further to Donaueschingen, there north of the Schlosspark, where it flows into the Danube from the left shortly after the confluence of Brigach and Breg. Stille (Saints & Lovers Album)
Saints and Lovers is a three-piece American rock band from New York City. The band started as a duo consisting of Dennis Cahlo, formerly of The Realistics, and the American band V's guitarist Scott Meola. After a residency at Pianos in New York, drummer Doug Meola joined the band before its debut at Mercury Lounge. Originally called The Sons of Sound, the band changed its name to Saints and Lovers in October, 2004. History Saints and Lovers released two EPs in 2004, and third in 2005 on Sarah Lewitinn's Stolen Transmission label. The Atmosphere EP included a cover of Joy Division's "Atmosphere." In 2006, Saints and Lovers began recording ''Stille'', the band's first full-length album.
