Stein () is a municipalities of Switzerland, municipality in the district of Rheinfelden (district), Rheinfelden in the Cantons of Switzerland, canton of Aargau, Switzerland. Bözberg Railway Line
The Bözberg railway line is a railway line in Switzerland, running between Basel and Brugg via Pratteln, Rheinfelden, Stein-Säckingen, Frick and the Bözberg Tunnel. At Brugg it connects to Zürich via Baden and to the Gotthard Railway via the Aargauische Südbahn. The line was built by the Bötzberg Railway (), a joint venture of the Swiss Northeastern Railway and Swiss Central Railway. Construction started in 1870 and it opened on 2 August 1875. It was taken over by Swiss Federal Railways in 1902. It is now an important freight line connecting Germany and Italy via the Gotthard. The Koblenz–Stein-Säckingen railway line is a standard gauge railway line in the Aargau, canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It runs from a junction with the Bözberg railway line, Bözberg line at to Koblenz railway station (Switzerland), Koblenz and a junction with the Turgi–Koblenz–Waldshut railway, Turgi–Koblenz–Waldshut line. Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) owns and operates the line. Although the line forms part of the most direct route between Basel and Winterthur, through passenger service ended in 1994. The InterRegio, often shortened to IR, is a train categories in Europe, train category for mainly domestic train services in use in some European countries, with Swiss Federal Railways operating the most dense network. InterRegio trains are semi-fast long-distance trains with more stops and usually lower prices than more upscale long-distance trains such as the InterCity (IC). Denmark The InterRegio system was also introduced to the Danish railways in the early 1990s and became an alternative to the InterCity services, with no seat reservation required. The station is located underneath the ''Airport Centre'', the main ground-side passenger terminal of the airport, which is in the canton of Zurich and the municipality of Kloten.
