Stanford Cardinal Women's Soccer
The Stanford Cardinal women's soccer team represents Stanford University in the Atlantic Coast Conference of NCAA Division I association football, soccer. Home games are played at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium, located on the university's campus in Palo Alto, California, Palo Alto. Paul Ratcliffe (soccer), Paul Ratcliffe has coached the Cardinal since 2003, winning Pac-12 Coach of the Year eight times. During his tenure as head coach, the team won the 2011 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament, 2011, 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament, 2017, and 2019 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament, 2019 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament, national championships, and nine Pac-12 titles, played in nine College Cup tournaments, and reached five NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship, NCAA Division I tournament finals. Bernard Muir
Bernard Montgomery Muir (born July 22, 1968) is an American college athletics administrator who is currently the athletic director at Stanford Cardinal, Stanford University. Prior to Stanford, Muir served in the same position at the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens, University of Delaware and Georgetown Hoyas, Georgetown University. The NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship, sometimes known as the Women's College Cup, is an American college soccer tournament conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and determines the Division I women's national champion. History The NCAA began conducting a single division Women's Soccer Championship tournament in 1982 with a 12-team tournament. The tournament became the Division I Championship in 1986, when Division III was created for non-scholarship programs. Currently, the tournament field consists of 64 teams. Leland Stanford Junior University, commonly referred to as Stanford University, is a private research university in Stanford, California, United States. Andrea DeMoor Kitahata (born January 1, 2003) is an American college soccer player who plays as a forward for the Stanford Cardinal. She represented the United States at the under-17 and under-20 level. She also played one season of college squash for Stanford. Allison Montoya is an American college soccer player who plays as a striker for the Stanford Cardinal. Catarina Cantanhede Melônio Macário (; born October 4, 1999) is a professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Women's Super League club Chelsea.
