St Michael's GAA (Donegal)
St Michael's (''CLG Naomh Mícheál'') is a GAA club based in Creeslough/ Dunfanaghy in County Donegal. Located in the north of the county, the club is affected by rural issues such as low population and emigration; despite this they play at the top level in the Donegal Senior Football Championship and opened a new clubhouse in 2010. The club colours are red and white. The club plays at the Bridge in Dunfanaghy. The club has a rivalry with Cloich Cheann Fhaola. History The club does not have much of a history. Perhaps the most interesting fact about it is that 2014 European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley used to play for them. Lissan GAC
Saint Michael's GAC Lissan ( ga, CLG Naomh Mhichil Lios Áine) is a Gaelic Athletic Association located in the Catholic parish of Lissan, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is a part of Derry GAA and currently caters for Gaelic football, Rounders and handball. St Michael's teams compete in Derry championships, although part of the parish is located in County Tyrone. Lissan has won the Derry Junior Football Championship three times. Underage teams up to Under-12's play in South Derry league and championships, from Under-14 upwards teams compete in All-Derry competitions. St Michael's Gaelic Football Club
St Michael's Gaelic Football Club is a Gaelic football club in Cork City, Ireland. The club was formed in 1951 after a discussion in The Leaping Salmon Public House in Blackrock near Cork. At that time some of the Blackrock hurlers played football with different city teams and it was decided to enter a football team from Blackrock, thus keeping the players together. A formal meeting was held and St Michael's Gaelic Football Club was established. Current Championship grades History St Michael's first match was against Crosshaven, with Jimmy Furlong as captain. The club's first success was in 1956 when St Michael's took their first Cork Junior Football Championship title, and as there was no Intermediate Championship or League the club took the decision to go Senior in 1957. The club failed to win a Senior County Title in 1976, 1977, and 1978, but competed in finals during these years against St Finbarr's and Nemo Rangers, and won two Kelleher Shield Titles.
