St Mary's School, Waverley
St Mary's School, Waverly is a Independent school, private English medium, Anglican and boarding school for girls. It is situated in the suburb of Waverley, Johannesburg, Waverley in Johannesburg in the Gauteng province of South Africa, it is one of the top and most academic schools in Gauteng. Established in 1888, it is the oldest school in Johannesburg. It was founded by the Anglican clergyman the Rev. John T. Darragh, who also founded its brother school St John's College, Johannesburg in Houghton Estate, Houghton ten years later in 1898. St Mary's School writes the Independent Examinations Board exams. Natalie Grainger (born 8 July 1977), also known for a period by her former married name Natalie Pohrer, is a former professional female squash player. Grainger was born in Manchester, United Kingdom but raised in South Africa, which she represented in the 1998 Commonwealth Games, winning 2 bronze medals. Geoffrey Clayton (bishop)
Geoffrey Hare Clayton was an Anglican archbishop in the 20th century. He was born on 12 December 1884, educated at Rugby and Pembroke College, Cambridge, and ordained, after a period of study at Ripon College Cuddesdon, in 1909. A Fellow of Peterhouse, Cambridge, he was its Dean from 1910 to 1914 when he became a Chaplain to the BEF. When peace returned he was vicar of Little St Mary's, Cambridge and after that (successively) vicar, rural dean and finally archdeacon of Chesterfield.
