St Luke's Church, Doseley
Doseley is a village in the Telford and Wrekin borough in Shropshire, England. It forms part of the Dawley Hamlets civil parish alongside Aqueduct, Shropshire, Aqueduct, Horsehay, Lightmoor, Little Dawley and Spring Village, Shropshire, Spring Village. History The settlement was located in an area of coal mining and was served by the former Doseley Halt railway station, Doseley Halt on the Wellington to Craven Arms Railway which closed in 1963. The station site is now overgrown and disused, although it is currently due to be reopened and reinstated by the Telford Steam Railway on their expansion towards Lightmoor Junction. Dawley Hamlets is a civil parish in the Telford and Wrekin district, in the ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. The parish covers Horsehay, Doseley, Little Dawley (also traditionally known as Dawley Parva), Lightmoor and Aqueduct, Shropshire, Aqueduct. In 2021 the parish had a population of 8,008. The parish was formed on 1 April 1988. The name Dawley comes from Old English meaning ''woodland clearing associated with a man called Dealla''.
