St. Paul's Gallery
St. Paul's Gallery is a commercial online art gallery, which was the largest in the United Kingdom outside London. It is in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, England. The gallery deals in two main fields: original album art the world's largest collection of signed album cover fine art, including signed cover images from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Queen (band), Queen and fine art (where its holdings include works from Pablo Picasso, Picasso and Salvador Dalí, Dalí Andy Warhol to Henry Moore Bridget Riley). St Paul's Square, Birmingham
St Paul's Square (also known as St Pauls Square) is a Georgian square in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, England, named after the church at its centre. It is the last remaining Georgian Square in the city. Built 1777—1779 on the Newhall estate of the Colmore family, it was an elegant and desirable location in the mid-nineteenth century. At the end of the nineteenth century the square was swallowed by workshops and factories, with the fronts of some buildings being pulled down to make shop fronts or factory entrances. Much restoration was done in the 1970s and many of the buildings are Grade II listed. As well as bars, cafés and restaurants – which line the square's four sides – a number of apartment schemes have been built in the area. Bridget Louise Riley (born 24 April 1931) is an English painter known for her op art paintings. She lives and works in London, Cornwall and the Vaucluse in France. Early life and education Riley was born on 24 April 1931 in West Norwood, Norwood, London. Her father, John Fisher Riley, originally from Yorkshire, had been an Army officer. Queen are a British Rock music, rock band formed in London in 1970 by Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), and Roger Taylor (Queen drummer), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), later joined by John Deacon (bass). An art gallery is a room or a building in which visual art is displayed.
