St. Matthias' Church, Vepery
C.S.I. St. Matthias' Church is a Protestant church situated in the neighbourhood of Vepery in Chennai, India. The church was constructed and consecrated in 1823.Muthiah, p 33 History C.S.I. Coja Petrus Uscan (1680/81 – 1751) was an Armenians, Armenian merchant and leader of the Armenian community of Chennai, Madras who was known for his immense wealth and unflinching devotion and loyalty to the British during the French occupation of Madras. Tharangambadi (), formerly Tranquebar ( da, Trankebar, ), is a town in the Mayiladuthurai district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu on the Coromandel Coast.
