St Martin's () is the northernmost populated island of the Isles of Scilly, England, United Kingdom. It has an area of and a total population (2021 census) of 135. Description There are three main settlements on the island - Higher Town, Isles of Scilly, Higher Town, Middle Town, St Martin's, Middle Town and Lower Town, Isles of Scilly, Lower Town - in addition to a number of scattered farms and cottages. St Martins is an inner suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand, located two kilometres south of the city centre. Amenities include the Centaurus and Saint Martins Parks. Saint Martin's University is a Private university, private Benedictine university in Lacey, Washington. It was founded in 1895 as a boys' boarding school run by monks of the Benedictines, Benedictine Order. Saint Martin's began offering college-level courses in 1900 and became a degree-granting institution in 1940. The college became coeducational in 1965. Saint Martin's Island () is a small coral island in the north-eastern part of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula, and forms the southernmost part of Bangladesh. St Martin's is a civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. It is located south of the town of Richmond, covering the residential areas south of the River Swale, including the former Richmond railway station and Holly Hill. Located within the parish is the ruin of St. Martin's Priory, a former Benedictine house. History Richmond railway station is located within the parish, which is separated from Richmond by the River Swale. The position of the station was because it was considered "geographically impossible" to locate the station within the town.
