St. Joseph's College (Pakistan)
Saint Joseph's College for Women is located in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It is a college for women, owned by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Karachi. History It was established by the religious order, the Daughters of the Cross and is one of the most distinguished women's colleges in the country. It was founded in 1948 and was one of the first colleges for women in Karachi. The building was constructed by Brother Hilary Lardenoye OFM. Since 1951, it has been affiliated with the University of Karachi. Zubeida Mustafa (born 1941) is a freelance journalist from Pakistan. She became one of the first woman to work in the country's mainstream media, when she joined the Dawn newspaper in 1975. Hamida Khuhro
Hamida Khuhro (13 August 1936 – 12 February 2017) was a Pakistani politician and historian who twice served as Sindh's Minister for Education and also served as a professor of history at the University of Sindh. Early life and education Hamida Khuhro was born on 13 August 1936 at Larkana, Sindh, British India. Khuhro was the daughter of Muhammad Ayub Khuhro, a former chief minister of Sindh. Pervez Musharraf (11 August 1943 – 5 February 2023) was a Pakistani general and politician who served as the tenth president of Pakistan from 2001 to 2008. Prior to his career in politics, he was a four-star general and appointed as the chief of Army Staff and, later, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by prime minister Nawaz Sharif in 1998.
