Sri Lankan Cricket Team In Bangladesh In 2021
The Sri Lanka cricket team toured Bangladesh in May 2021 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches. All of the matches took place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. Originally, the tour was scheduled to take place in December 2020. The Sri Lankan cricket team arrived in Bangladesh on 16 May 2021, following their two-match Test series in Sri Lanka. Ahead of the tour, Kusal Perera was appointed as Sri Lanka's new ODI captain, replacing Dimuth Karunaratne. Bangladesh won the first ODI by 33 runs. They also won the rain-affected second ODI by 103 runs, to take an unassailable lead in the series. It was Bangladesh's first bilateral series win against Sri Lanka. Tamim Iqbal
Tamim Iqbal Khan ( Bengali: তামিম ইকবাল খান; born 20 March 1989), commonly known as Tamim Iqbal, is a Bangladeshi former international cricketer and commentator from Chittagong who was captain of the national team in ODI matches from 2020 to 2023. He is the first Bangladeshi cricketer to score a century in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in the 2016 edition, scoring 103 *, the highest score made by a Bangladeshi at any T20 World Cup tournament. Tamim made his ODI debut in 2007 and played his first Test match the following year. He scored his first century against Ireland. Mosaddek Hossain
Mosaddek Hossain Saikat (; born 10 December 1995) is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays for the Bangladesh national cricket team and for Barisal Division in domestic cricket. He made his international debut in January 2016. He has played across all the three formats. Under-19 career Mosaddek is a right-handed batsman and off-spin bowler. He played for Bangladesh in two ICC Under-19 World Cups: in Australia in 2012 and in Abu Dhabi in 2013–14. He captained Bangladesh Under-19 in a two-match series of four-day matches against Sri Lanka Under-19 in April 2013, scoring 107 in the first match and 74 in the second. Niroshan Dickwella
Dickwella Patabendige Dilantha Niroshan Dickwella, known as Niroshan Dickwella (born 23 June 1993), is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer, who plays all formats of the game for Sri Lanka. A left-hand batsman, he also plays as a wicket-keeper of the team. Dickwella is known for hitting left handed Dilscoops. In November 2017, he was named the emerging cricketer of the year for the 2016–17 season at Sri Lanka Cricket's annual awards. On 16 August 2024, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced in a media release that Dickwella has been suspended from all forms of cricket due to an alleged anti-doping rule violation. Mahamarakkala Kurukulasooriya Patabendige Akila Dananjaya Perera (; born 4 October 1993), popularly as Akila Dananjaya, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer, who played all forms of the game for the national team. Koralegedera Nadeeja Ashen Bandara (born 23 November 1998), known as Ashen Bandara, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who plays limited over internationals for Sri Lanka. Balapuwaduge Kusal Gimhan Mendis (born 2 February 1995) is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who plays in all forms of the game and a former ODI captain of the national team. Soumya Sarkar (; born 25 February 1993) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a left-handed batter and a right arm medium-fast bowler who mainly plays as an opening batter. Mohammad Saifuddin (; born 1 November 1996) also known as Saif is a Bangladeshi cricketer who played for Bangladesh Premier League team Fortune Barishal.
