Sports Mastery School Loro Boriçi
The Sports mastery school Loro Boriçi is a sports high school that specializes in cultivating young football players. It is located in Tirana, Albania. Recently the Albanian government, in collaboration with the Albanian Football Association, has taken a decision to transform it into a ''National Academy of Football''. In the 2010-2011 academic year the school had 120 students and 30 teachers, and according to its principal, former notable player Sulejman Mema, is expected to have more in the future, given the endorsement of the Albanian government. Loro Boriçi
Lorenco Boriçi (4 August 1922 – 25 April 1984), commonly known as Loro Boriçi was an Albanian association football, footballer who played as a forward (association football), forward. He is regarded as one of Albania's greatest players. He played mostly for FK Partizani Tirana, Partizan Tirana (won the 1949 and 1954 Albanian title and scored 68 goals for them) and KS Vllaznia Shkodër, Vllaznia Shkodër (won the 1945 Albanian National Championship, 1945 Albanian title). Boriçi was the reserve of Silvio Piola in Italian Serie A with S.S. Lazio, Lazio. He captained Albania national football team, Albania in winning the 1946 Balkan Cup. A sports school () is a type of educational institution for children that originated in the Soviet Union. Sports schools were the basis of the powerful system of physical culture (fitness) and sports education in the USSR and the Eastern Bloc, particularly East Germany. Sulejman Haxhi Mema (born 17 November 1955) is an Albanian former football player and manager of KF Tirana, Tirana Youth. He has also been head of refereeing at the Football Association of Albania. International career He made his debut for Albania national football team, Albania in an April 1983 UEFA Euro 1984 qualifying, European Championship qualification match against Northern Ireland national football team, Northern Ireland, coming on as a second-half substitute for Shkëlqim Muça. Agustin Kola
Agustin Kola (born 10 May 1959), is an Albanian professional football coach and retired player. He played most of his career at 17 Nëntori Tirana where he established himself as one of the greatest strikers of his generation, winning several individual and collective awards. Towards the end of his career, Kola moved for the first time abroad following the fall of communism, by signing with Greece's Egaleo alongside compatriot Adrian Barbullushi. Rudi Vata (born 13 February 1969) is an Albanian former professional footballer who played as a defender, and had also a short stint as a manager of Albanian team KF Vllaznia Shkodër. Club career Early life Vata was born in the northern city of Shkodër and joined local side Vllaznia Shkodër at a young age, making his first team debut in 1988. Whilst travelling with the Albania national football team in France he sought political asylum in 1991. Vata's career in Western football began in France in 1991, when the KS Dinamo Tirana player claimed political asylum following an international match. Altin Rraklli (born 17 July 1970) is an Albanian football coach and former player who played as a forward. Most of his professional career was spent in Germany, where he played for five clubs in both major levels of football, mainly SC Freiburg and SpVgg Unterhaching for a total of 282 games.
