Spider-Man Collected Editions
The Marvel Comics character Spider-Man (the mantle assumed by Peter Parker and Alternative versions of Spider-Man, various others) first appeared in 1962 in ''Amazing Fantasy'' #15. Creator Stan Lee said the idea came from a "desire to create a character with whom teens could identify". The character's various appearances have been collated into thousands of trade paperback, hardcover and omnibus collections. Collected editions by era The core title for ''Spider-Man'' has been ''The Amazing Spider-Man'', since the title's launch in 1963. After issue #1's launch in January, the book was released monthly. Marvel's first attempt at chronologically collecting the core title was in 1987, with the ''Marvel Masterworks'' premium hardcover line, which reprinted 10-12 comics per book. The next attempt was the ''Essential Marvel'' line, which reproduced comics in black and white. David Michelinie
David Michelinie (; born May 6, 1948) is an American comic book writer best known for scripting Marvel Comics' ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' and ''Iron Man'' and the DC Comics feature Superman in ''Action Comics''. Among the characters he created or co-created are Venom, Carnage, Scott Lang / Ant-Man and War Machine. Early career Michelinie grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and worked at a commercial film production company before moving to New York to take part in an apprenticeship program started by DC Comics. Some of Michelinie's earliest work appears in DC Comics' '' House of Secrets'' and a run on '' Swamp Thing'' (#14–18 and #21–22), the latter illustrated by Nestor Redondo. Michelinie and artist Ernie Chan created '' Claw the Unconquered'' in 1975. Michelinie did a run on Aquaman in ''Adventure Comics'' which led to the revival of the Sea King's own title in 1977. Ends Of The Earth (Marvel Comics)
"Ends of the Earth" is a comic book storyline in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' published by Marvel Comics in 2012 in comics, 2012. The villains of the story are the Sinister Six, who are led by Spider-Man's arch-enemy Doctor Octopus. Unlike the prior event story "Spider-Island" there is only one tie-in issue (a One-shot (comics), one-shot) instead of the multitude of tie-in issues involved with that story; the story is completely contained within issues #682–687 of ''The Amazing Spider-Man''. The storyline received positive reviews, with critics praising the action, the plot, and the art style. Spider-Island
''Spider-Island'' is a 2011 comic book storyline starting in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' and crossing over into other comic books published by Marvel Comics, most of which were limited series or one-shots specifically for this storyline. The main plot involves the inhabitants of Manhattan Island mysteriously gaining powers similar to Spider-Man. It features the return of the Jackal and the Queen (Adrianna "Ana" Soria) to the Marvel Universe and laid the ground work for the second volume of the ''Scarlet Spider'' series. The main story overall received positive reviews, with critics praising its action, humor, style, and plot. One Moment In Time (comics)
"One Moment in Time" is a 2010 comic book storyline published by Marvel Comics starring Spider-Man. Written by Joe Quesada and illustrated by Paolo Rivera, it was originally published in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #638–641, and immediately follows " The Gauntlet" storyline. It is notable for revealing what changes the villain Mephisto made to save the life of Peter Parker/Spider-Man's aunt, May Parker, and dissolve the wedding of Parker and Mary Jane Watson at the end of the 2007 " One More Day" storyline. The name of the storyline forms the acronym O.M.I.T., which Quesada explained was an intentional reference to how Parker and Watson's wedding was removed from continuity.
