Spellbound (TVXQ Album)
''Tense'' is the seventh Korean studio album (thirteenth overall) by South Korean pop duo TVXQ. It was released on January 6, 2014, by S.M. Entertainment. The record was promoted as a commemorative album for the duo's tenth debut anniversary, which fell on December 26, 2013. ''Tense'' consists of modern R&B and pop songs with components of neo-soul. Its lead single, "Something", also has elements of swing jazz with big band arrangements. Lyrically, the album references the concepts of love, courage and hope. ''Tense'' received general acclaim from music critics, who commended the album's cohesive production and TVXQ's vocal performance. TVXQ
TVXQ (stylized as TVXQ!; , ), known as Tohoshinki in Japan, is a South Korean pop duo formed by SM Entertainment, composed of U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin. Originally a five-member boy band which also consisted of members Kim Jae-joong, Hero Jaejoong, Park Yoo-chun, Micky Yoochun, and Kim Jun-su, Xiah Junsu, TVXQ were immediately launched to mainstream recognition following the release of their first CD single, single "Hug (song), Hug" (2004). Big Band
A big band or jazz orchestra is a type of musical ensemble of jazz music that usually consists of ten or more musicians with four sections: saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and a rhythm section. Swing music is a style of jazz that developed in the United States during the late 1920s and early 1930s. It became nationally popular from the mid-1930s. ''Music Bank'' () is a South Korean music program which airs every Friday at 17:15 KST on KBS2. the show is also broadcast in more than a hundred countries through KBS World. Episodes are filmed at the KBS New Wing Open Hall in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu. The show also organizes the global live concert '' Music Bank World Tour''. History Prior to ''Music Bank'', ''Top 10 Songs'' (가요톱10) debuted in 1981 airing live at 6:30 (KST) on Fridays and aired until 1998. Changmin
Shim Chang-min (; born February 18, 1988), better known by his stage name Max Changmin (), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actor, and a member of the pop duo TVXQ. Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Changmin was scouted by an SM Entertainment talent agent when he was fourteen years old. He made his debut as TVXQ's youngest member in December 2003. Fluent in both Korean and Japanese, Changmin has achieved commercial success throughout Asia as the main vocalist of TVXQ. He has also starred in several dramas. ''Allkpop'' (stylized in all lowercase) is an American website which features Korean pop and gossip news. It is one of the most trafficked K-pop news sites, with over seven and half million readers per month. In its list of useful websites, ''The Korea Herald'' called it the "fastest news breaker" for K-pop. Controversies In 2010, Tablo of Korean hip-hop trio Epik High alleged that allkpop had been sharing pirated links to the group's '' Epilogue'' album, including "a leaked music video of 'Run' and illegal streaming of all our songs" on his personal Twitter account. Tablo has since removed the posts. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea.
