Space Delta 15
Space Delta 15 (DEL 15) is a United States Space Force unit responsible for presenting forces to the National Space Defense Center. It was established on 10 March 2023 as part of Space Operations Command and in December 2023 moved into United States Space Forces – Space. It is headquartered at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. History DEL 15 was activated on 10 March 2023. On 10 June 2023, the 15th Command and Control Squadron (15 CACS) was activated, while the 15th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Squadron (15 ISRS) was activated on 14 July 2023. On 20 October 2023, the 15th Cyberspace Squadron was activated. On 20 November, 2024, the Department of the Air Force selected Schriever Space Force Base as the location to host Space Delta 15, with 250 manpower authorizations. Space Operations Command
Space Operations Command (SpOC) is the United States Space Force's space warfare, space operations, cyber warfare, cyber operations, and military intelligence, intelligence field command. Headquartered at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, it consists of its mission deltas and garrison commands. It was established on 1 September 1982 as Space Command (SPACECOM), the first dedicated U.S. space command. On 15 November 1985, it was renamed Air Force Space Command (AFSPC or AFSPACECOM) to distinguish it from U.S. Space Command, Naval Space Command, and Army Space Command. ISTAR stands for Military intelligence, intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance. In its macroscopic sense, #ISTAR, ISTAR is a practice that links several battlefield functions together to assist a combat force in employing its sensors and managing the information they gather. Information is collected on the battlefield through systematic observation by deployed soldiers and a variety of electronic sensors. In music, a fifteenth or double octave, abbreviated ''15ma'', is the interval between one musical note and another with one-quarter the wavelength or quadruple the frequency. It has also been referred to as the bisdiapason. The fourth harmonic, it is two octaves. The National Space Defense Center (NSDC) is a subordinate center of United States Space Command's Joint Task Force–Space Defense. It is responsible for coordinating military, intelligence, civil, and commercial space for unified space defense operations.
