The South Africa women's national under-21 field hockey team represents South Africa in women's international under-21 field hockey matches and tournaments and is controlled by the South African Hockey Association, the governing body for field hockey in South Africa. South African Hockey Association
The South African Hockey Association (SAHA) is the sports governing body, governing body of field hockey in South Africa. It is affiliated to FIH International Hockey Federation and AHF African Hockey Federation. The Head Office of SAHA is in Illovo, Gauteng, Illovo, Johannesburg, South Africa. History Established in August 1992 when five major hockey bodies formed one non-racial, unified body which controls and regulates hockey for men and women in South Africa. 2016 Women's Hockey Junior World Cup
The 2016 Women's Hockey Junior World Cup was the 8th edition of the Women's Hockey Junior World Cup. It was held from 24 November to 4 December 2016 in Santiago, Chile. Argentina women's national field hockey team, Argentina won the tournament after defeating 2013 Women's Hockey Junior World Cup, defending champions the Netherlands women's national field hockey team, Netherlands 4–2 in the final. This was the first time Argentina had won the Junior World Cup since the 1993 tournament in Terrassa, Spain. Australia women's national field hockey team, Australia won the third place match by defeating Spain women's national field hockey team, Spain 3–1 on a penalty shootout after a 1–1 draw. This was Australia's first Junior World Cup medal in 15 years. The 2013 Women's Hockey Junior World Cup was the seventh edition of the Women's Hockey Junior World Cup, held from 27 July to 4 August 2013 in Mönchengladbach, Germany.
