Something Anything
"Something Anything" is the second single taken from Indie band Travis' sixth studio album '' Ode to J. Smith''. The single peaked at #113 on the UK singles chart. Background The single was released on 15 September 2008. It is the first Travis single not to be written by singer Fran Healy, as bassist Dougie Payne is credited to having co-written the song. It was the only song on the album not to be written during a 5-week album sessions writing period, and was instead written months later. Payne also wrote the B-side, "Tail of the Tiger". The artwork of the single shows a heart, with a hole in either side, representing the main song and two b-sides, as confirmed by singer Fran Healy. Travis (band)
Travis are a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 1990, and composed of Fran Healy (musician), Fran Healy (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Dougie Payne (bass guitar, backing vocals), Andy Dunlop (lead guitar, banjo, backing vocals), and Neil Primrose (musician), Neil Primrose (drums, percussion). The band's name comes from the character Travis Henderson (played by Harry Dean Stanton) from the film ''Paris, Texas (film), Paris, Texas'' (1984). The band released their debut album, ''Good Feeling (Travis album), Good Feeling'' (1997), to moderate success where it debuted at number nine on the UK Albums Chart and was later awarded a silver certification from the British Phonographic Industry (British Phonographic Industry, BPI) in January 2000. The band gained greater success with their second album, ''The Man Who'' (1999), which spent nine weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart, totalling 134 weeks in the top 100 of the chart.
