Snoopy! The Musical (TV Special)
''Snoopy! The Musical'' is the 31st prime-time animated TV special based on characters from the Charles M. Schulz comic strip ''Peanuts''. It is an animated adaptation of the musical of the same name, and originally aired on the CBS network on January 29, 1988. This is one of the two musicals in the ''Peanuts'' franchise where Snoopy has a speaking voice which only viewers can hear; the other is 1985's ''You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown''. Plot A series of vignettes are strung together regarding the ''Peanuts'' gang. Woodstock (Peanuts)
Woodstock is a fictional character in Charles M. Schulz's comic strip '' Peanuts''. He is a small yellow bird of unknown species and Snoopy's best friend. The character first appeared in the March 4, 1966, strip, though he was not given a name until June 22, 1970. He is named after the Woodstock festival of 1969. History Snoopy wordlessly interacted with an unnamed bird, using only punctuation and musical notes, as early as 1951. In the early 1960s, Snoopy began befriending birds when they started using his doghouse for various purposes: a rest stop during migrations, a nesting site, a community hall, or a place to play cards. Sally Brown
Sally Brown is a fictional character in the comic strip ''Peanuts'' by Charles Schulz. She is the younger sister of main character Charlie Brown. She was first mentioned in May 1959 and throughout a long series of strips before her first appearance in August 1959. Cathy Steinberg was the first to voice Sally in 1965 for the CBS special '' A Charlie Brown Christmas''; she was five years old at the time. History Sally was born on May 26, 1959, with Charlie Brown receiving a telephone call from the hospital and dashing out of the house yelling that he had a new baby sister. Snoopy
Snoopy is an anthropomorphic beagle in the comic strip ''Peanuts'' by American cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. He also appears in all of the ''Peanuts'' films and television specials. Since his debut on October 4, 1950, Snoopy has become one of the most recognizable and iconic characters in the comic strip and is considered more famous than Charlie Brown in some countries. Peppermint Patty is a fictional character featured in Charles M. Schulz's comic strip ''Peanuts''. Her full name, very rarely used in the strip, is Patricia Reichardt. She is one of a small group in the strip who live across town from Charlie Brown and his school friends (although in '' The Peanuts Movie'', '' Snoopy in Space'', and '' The Snoopy Show'' she, Marcie, and Franklin live in the same neighborhood and attend the same school). She has freckles and "mousy-blah" hair, and generally displays the characteristics of a tomboy. She made her first appearance on August 22, 1966. The Great Pumpkin is an unseen character in the comic strip ''Peanuts'' by Charles M. Schulz. According to Linus van Pelt, the Great Pumpkin is a legendary personality who rises from the pumpkin patch on Halloween carrying a large bag of toys to deliver to believing children. Linus continues to maintain faith in the Great Pumpkin, despite his friends' mockery and disbelief. ''You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown'' is the 29th prime-time animated musical television special based upon the comic strip ''Peanuts,'' by Charles M. Schulz. This adaptation of the 1967 musical ''You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown'' originally aired on the CBS network on November 6, 1985, and rebroadcast on June 14, 1988.
