Slash's Snakepit
Slash's Snakepit was an American rock supergroup from Los Angeles, California, formed by Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash in 1994. Though often described as a solo or side project, Slash stated that Snakepit was a band with equal contributions by all members. The first lineup of the band consisted of: Slash, two of his Guns N' Roses bandmates—drummer Matt Sorum and guitarist Gilby Clarke—as well as Alice in Chains bassist Mike Inez and former Jellyfish guitarist Eric Dover on lead vocals. Their debut album, ''It's Five O'Clock Somewhere'', was released in 1995. For the supporting tour, Slash enlisted James LoMenzo and Brian Tichy, of Pride & Glory, in place of Inez and Sorum, who had other commitments. Mike Inez
Michael Allen Inez (born May 14, 1966) is an American rock musician and bassist. Since 1993, Inez has been the bassist of the American rock band Alice in Chains. He is also recognized for his work with Ozzy Osbourne from 1989 to 1993. Inez also has connections with Slash's Snakepit, Black Label Society, Spys4Darwin, and Heart. Inez has earned seven Grammy Award nominations as a member of Alice in Chains. Career Mike Inez began his career in music by playing guitar and saxophone. Pride & Glory (band)
Pride & Glory was a side project formed by vocalist/guitarist Zakk Wylde (previously of Ozzy Osbourne) and White Lion members James LoMenzo and Greg D'Angelo. It was the first project for which Wylde also served as lead vocalist, prior to releasing his first solo-album, 1996's '' Book of Shadows''. Wylde subsequently formed the band Black Label Society in 1998, which remains active. Pride & Glory released one self-titled studio album before disbanding in 1994. They reunited for a one-off show in 1998. Duff McKagan
Michael Andrew "Duff" McKagan (born February 5, 1964) is an American musician. He was the bassist of hard rock band Guns N' Roses for twelve years, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. McKagan rejoined the band in 2016, following their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Toward the end of his first tenure with Guns N' Roses, McKagan released the solo album ''Believe in Me (Duff McKagan album), Believe in Me'' (1993) and formed the short-lived supergroup (music), supergroup Neurotic Outsiders. ''It's Five O'Clock Somewhere'' is the debut studio album by American hard rock band Slash's Snakepit, released in February 1995. A supergroup is a musical group formed of members who are already successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups Collaborative_album, recorded albums together, after which they normally disbanded. Ryan Roxie (born Ryan Rosowicz, December 1, 1965) is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter best known as a solo artist and for playing guitar with Alice Cooper, Casablanca, Gilby Clarke, and Slash's Snakepit. Roxie is the primary founder of the System-12 Guitar Method and also hosts the weekly ''In the Trenches with Ryan Roxie'' podcast. Early years Roxie was born in Sacramento, California and grew up in the East Bay in Pleasanton. Matt Laug
Matt Laug (born March 17, 1968) is an American drummer who has played with many bands/artists such as AC/DC, Alanis Morissette, Alice Cooper, Slash's Snakepit and Vasco Rossi. Laug moved to Los Angeles after graduating from South Florence High School in 1986 and after attending college in LA, Laug became a sought after studio drummer. Along with a long list of many other rock artists, Laug played drums on Alanis Morissette's June 1995 album, ''Jagged Little Pill'', which sold over 16 million copies and was the number one album on the US Billboard 200 for the decade 1990–1999. He also played drums as a part of Steve Plunkett's reformed Autograph line-up from 2002 to 2005.
