Singles (New Order Album)
''Singles'' is a Compilation album, compilation by English band New Order (band), New Order. It was released on 3 October 2005 by London Records. The two-disc compilation includes the band's singles released between 1981 and 2005. Unlike the CD version of earlier singles compilation ''Substance 1987'', the A-side and B-side, B-sides are not included. While ''Substance 1987'' aimed to showcase New Order's 12-inch singles, ''Singles'' instead features mostly seven-inch versions, some of which are rare and differ from the album versions. The album includes three early singles that have never appeared on CD in their original form: "Ceremony (New Order song), Ceremony", "Everything's Gone Green" and "Temptation (New Order song), Temptation". Additionally, an edit of the "Rough mix" of the song "Confusion (New Order song), Confusion" was created exclusively for this compilation. ''Singles'' is a compilation album by the experimental rock Experimental rock, also called avant-rock, is a subgenre of rock music that pushes the boundaries of common composition and performance technique or which experiments with the basic elements of the genre. Artists aim to liberate and innovate, wit ... band Red Krayola. It was released in 2004 by Drag City. The tracks "Wives In Orbit" and "Yik-Yak" included here are not the studio versions issued on the Radar 7" single but previously unreleased live recordings. The tracks "An Old Man's Dream" and "The Milkmaid" are the same recordings included in the album ''Kangaroo?'' Left off the collection are the three remixes of "Father Abraham" from the 12" single and the A-side mix of "Stil De Grain Brun" from the 7" single.
