Singapore Cup
The Singapore Cup is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic Singaporean football. Established in 1998, it is the foremost prestigious cup competition in the country. It is open to clubs in the Singapore Premier League. Since 2005, foreign teams from other countries in Southeast Asia are occasionally invited to compete in the Singapore Cup. Thailand club, Chonburi was the first foreign club reaching the final in 2006 (they lost 3–2 in the final to local club Tampines Rovers). In 2009, Bangkok Glass became the second foreign team to reach the final, losing against local club Geylang United, but they beat Tampines Rovers in 2010 to become the first foreign winners of the Singapore Cup. Winners of the Singapore Cup gain qualification into the Asian continental club competition, AFC Champions League Two. The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is the governing body responsible for the administration of football in Singapore. Geylang United
Geylang International Football Club is a professional football club based in Bedok, Singapore, that competes in Singapore Premier League, the top division of football in Singapore. The club was founded in 1973 and played their first season in 1974, winning the FAS Division Three League which earned them a spot in National Football League Division One the following year. They enjoyed their greatest successes in the 1980s and 90s, winning six consecutive FAS Premier League titles. Geylang International has won 2 league titles and 1 Singapore Cup since the inception of a professional league in 1996. Jurong Football Club was a professional football club, based in Jurong, Singapore. The club played in S.League, the top division of football in Singapore from 1997 to 2003. Sembawang Rangers Football Club was a professional football club in Singapore, based in Sembawang, Singapore The club played for S.League, the top division of football in Singapore. The club was also referred to among supporters as the "Stallions". They were also known for their Nigerian look-a-like jersey with phenomenal designs used in the inaugural S.League season in the 90s. Warriors Football Club was a Singaporean professional football club based in Choa Chu Kang, Singapore, that played in the Singapore Premier League, the top division of football in Singapore. 2024-25 Singapore Cup
A coxless four, abbreviated as a 4- and also called a straight four, is a racing shell used in the sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with sweep oars, without a coxswain. The crew consists of four rowers, each having one oar. There are two rowers on the stroke side (rower's right hand side) and two on the bow side (rower's lefthand side). As there is no coxswain, the rudder is controlled by one of the crew, normally with the rudder cable attached to the toe of one of their shoes which can pivot about the ball of the foot, moving the cable left or right. The steersman may row at bow, who has the best vision when looking over their shoulder, or on straighter courses stroke may steer, since they can point the stern of the boat at some landmark at the start of the course.
