Singapore Armed Forces Military Police Command
The SAF Military Police Command ( zh, 新加坡武装部队宪兵指挥部, , ) is the military police formation of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). Established as the Singapore Armed Forces Provost Unit (SAFPU) in 1966, its primary role is to police duties to uphold standards of discipline within the SAF, and to provide security coverage for key List of Singapore Armed Forces bases, SAF military installations and the Ministry of Defence (Singapore), Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) headquarters at Bukit Gombak. Singapore Armed Forces Band
The Singapore Armed Forces Band (commonly known as the SAF Band) form the musical arm of the Singapore Armed Forces. Consisting of the flagship SAF Central Band, SAF Ceremonial Band, the National Youth Winds and the SAF Volunteer Corps Band, the SAF Band provides musical support for key events such as the National Day Parade, SAF Day Parade, Passing Out Parades, Change of Command Parades and other military duties. The 2nd People's Defence Force (2 PDF) is a division of the Singapore Army responsible for maintaining peace within Singapore and carrying out mainly combined arms, counterterrorism, force protection, homeland defense, homeland security, internal security, and maneuver warfare. The Chief of Defence Force is the head of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), who holds the rank of Lieutenant-General or Vice-Admiral. Ng Yat Chung
Ng Yat Chung is a Singaporean former lieutenant-general who served as Chief of Defence Force between 2003 and 2007. Education Ng received his secondary and pre-university education in Victoria School and Hwa Chong Junior College respectively. He received the Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship for his undergraduate studies in 1980, and graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in engineering from Christ's College, Cambridge. After applying for an Oxbridge Master of Arts, in 1987 his BA was converted into an MA (not an earned master's degree). He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University. Protective Security Command
The Protective Security Command (ProCom) is a specialist counter-terrorist police unit of the Singapore Police Force (SPF). ProCom was formed to build up Singapore Police Force's public security capabilities and project police presence at security-sensitive locations. On 8 July 2016, the unit was commissioned. An evolving public security landscape and the changing demographics of Singapore created the impetus for the transformation of the Key Installations Command (KINS) or the Police National Service Key Installations Command (PNS KINS), which was originally established in October 1994. Choa Chu Kang (), alternatively spelled Chua Chu Kang and often abbreviated as CCK, is a planning area and residential town located at the northwestern point of the West Region of Singapore. Ong Teng Cheong
Ong Teng Cheong (22 January 1936 – 8 February 2002) was a Singaporean statesman, architect and union leader who served as the fifth president of Singapore between 1993 and 1999. Born when Singapore was a part of the Singapore in the Straits Settlements, Straits Settlements, Ong was educated at the University of Adelaide and studied architecture. He later received a Colombo Plan scholarship and graduated from the University of Liverpool with a master's degree in urban planning.
