John Ditlev-Simonsen
John Peder Ditlev-Simonsen (18 October 1898 – 10 January 2001) was a Norwegian sailor who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics. In 1936 he won the silver medal as crew member of the Norwegian boat ''Silja'' in the 8 metre class event. During the Second World War Ditlev-Simonsen was amongst a number of prominent Norwegians arrested as hostages by the Germans during their occupation of Norway. Following his arrest on 26 April 1943 he was transferred to Grini concentration camp two days later and given prisoner number 7449, being released on 5 May 1945. His brother Olaf Olaf or Olav (, , or differences between General American and Received Pronunciation, British ; ) is a Dutch, Polish, Scandinavian and German given name. Allan Simonsen
Allan Rodenkam Simonsen (born 15 December 1952) is a Danish former footballer and manager. He most prominently played as a striker for German Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach, winning the 1975 and 1979 UEFA Cups, as well as for Barcelona in Spain, winning the 1982 Cup Winners' Cup. Simonsen is the only footballer to have scored in the European Cup, UEFA Cup, and Cup Winners' Cup finals. Simonsen was named 1977 European Footballer of the Year. For the Denmark national team, Simonsen was capped 55 times, scoring 20 goals. He represented Denmark at the 1972 Summer Olympics, 1984 European Championship and 1986 World Cup tournaments. He was voted into the Danish Football Hall of Fame in November 2008. Wallace Cochrane Simonsen
Wallace Cochrane Simonsen was a Brazilian banker and the first mayor of São Bernardo do Campo, one of the cities pertaining to the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, most specifically the ABC Region. In his early professional life, he worked as a broker in the coffee market. Eventually he founded his own bank, Banco Noroeste (later bought by Banco Santander Brasil). In 1929, he owned a property in Vila de São Bernardo, the old name for the district located in the city of São Bernardo, which comprised the current cities of São Bernardo do Campo, São Caetano do Sul, Diadema and Santo André, although most of the government facilities were allocated in the latter one's lands.
