Sikth
Sikth (also typeset as SikTh) are an English progressive metal band from Watford, Hertfordshire, formed in 1999. History Early days (1999–2002) Sikth formed in late 1999, but consolidated their line-up in March 2001. That line-up consisted of dual vocalists Mikee Goodman and Justin Hill, guitarists Dan Weller and Graham Pinney, bassist James Leach and drummer/percussionist Dan Foord. Their first official release was an EP titled '' Let the Transmitting Begin''. Released in 2002, it featured three tracks, as well as a limited edition live CD from the BBC Radio 1 recordings of the same songs. The band's first release for Gut Records was an EP titled '' How May I Help You?'' Released in 2002, it featured three tracks, two of which were on the band's debut album. ''The Trees Are Dead & Dried Out Wait for Something Wild'' is the debut album by British progressive metal band Sikth, released on 18 August 2003 by Unparalleled Records. The album was produced by the band and Andrew Scarth. Background Sikth was formed in 1999 by vocalists Tristan Lucey and Mikee Goodman along with Dan Weller, Graham 'Pin' Pinney, and Jamie Hunter. The band's lineup would be cemented in 2001 with the addition of Justin Hill, James Leach, and Dan 'Loord' Foord; Lucey and Hunter would depart from the band around the same time. The band released its first EP, '' Let the Transmitting Begin'', in early 2002 through Infernal Records. Death Of A Dead Day
''Death of a Dead Day'' is the second studio album by British progressive metal band Sikth, as well as the last released before their 2008–2013 hiatus. It was released on 6 June 2006 (06/06/06) in the United States and 26 June in the United Kingdom; the first 4000 copies came with hand autographed fold out posters. It was released on vinyl by Basick Records as part of Record Store Day 2014. A music video was released for opening track "Bland Street Bloom" while "Flogging the Horses" was released as an EP single. Mikee Goodman
Mikee W. Goodman is a British singer, best known for being one of the two vocalists of the progressive metal band SikTh. He made an album in 2012 titled '' Awoken Broken'' under the project Primal Rock Rebellion, with Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith. Career Goodman performed as a guest vocalist for Bat for Lashes, Cyclamen, Deathember, This Is Menace and Periphery. He has also been a member of the bands Outside The Coma (formerly Outpatients), The Painted Smiles and Sad Season. In 2002, he wrote and directed a music video for the SikTh song "How May I Help You?", which was awarded best video of 2003 in ''Big Cheese Magazine''. Dan Weller
Dan Weller (born 3 April 1980) is an English record producer, audio mixer, songwriter and guitarist, known for his work in rock and metal. He was born in Liverpool and moved to Hertfordshire at age of six. At 15 he began playing guitar and formed a band with school friends. That band later became SikTh. SikTh In 1999/2000 Weller and school friend Graham Pinney formed SikTh. They recruited singers Mikee W Goodman and Justin Hill, bassist James Leach and drummer Dan 'Loord' Foord. SikTh went on to become one of the UK's most influential Heavy Metal bands releasing 3 EP's and 2 Albums internationally. In 2011 ''The Guardian'' wrote that along with Swedish band Meshuggah, SikTh were the founders of the international Metal phenomenon Djent. Fuji Rock Festival
is an annual music festival, rock festival held in Naeba Ski Resort, in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. The three-day event, organized by Smash (Music promoters), Smash Japan, features more than 200 Japanese and international musicians, making it the largest outdoor music event in Japan. In 2005, more than 100,000 people attended the festival. Fuji Rock Festival is named so because the first event in 1997 was held at the base of Mount Fuji.
