Sky Showcase
Sky Showcase is a British pay television channel which launched on 1 September 2021. It is owned and operated by Sky Group, a division of American media company Comcast. Sky Showcase was announced on 28 July 2021, along with Sky Max, as a replacement for flagship brand Sky One; with its programming transferred to Max and Sky Comedy. Both Showcase and Max would launch on the same day. The channel broadcasts a selection of programmes and simulcasts from across Sky UK's portfolio of channels, including highlights from Sky Cinema, Sky News, and Sky Sports. Starting in January 2024, Sky Showcase began showing select programming from Sky Atlantic. The general theme of the series was to feature new and minor characters as a way to gauge reader interest in them, without the difficulty and risk of featuring untested characters in their own ongoing titles. TVNZ 6 was a digital-only, commercial-free television channel operated by Television New Zealand. It launched in September 2007, and was available in 60.3% of New Zealand homes on the Freeview and SKY Television Digital platforms. TVNZ 6 was on air daily from 6am to midnight. The name TVNZ 6 was chosen because it was numeric, was deemed to allow "a broader content structure than any descriptive title", and matched the number assigned to it on the Freeview electronic programme guide. ''The Price Is Right'' is an American television game show where contestants compete by guessing the prices of merchandise to win cash and prizes. A 1972 revival by Mark Goodson and Bill Todman of their 1956–1965 show of the same name, the new version added many distinctive gameplay elements. Contestants are selected from the studio audience. When the announcer calls their name, they use the show's famous catchphrase, "Come on down!" The program premiered September 4, 1972, on CBS. Bob Barker was the series's longest-running host from its debut until his retirement in June 2007, when Drew Carey took over. Showcase TV
Showcase TV was a television channel in the United Kingdom currently run by Information TV and is used to offer smaller specialist channels a place to showcase their programmes, sometimes leading to a full channel launch. It is also used as a placeholder channel and has been used to hold on to lucrative EPG slots from defunct channels which are then sold on at a later date. It has ceased and restarted many times over the years. Currently as of 2024, the latest incarnation of Showcase TV, which had been renamed to Ayozat TV in 2021, was shut down on Sky on 14 October 2024, though it still broadcasts online and plans to launch on "Freeview Digital" with no further details currently available. ''Showcase'' is a studio album by American country singer-songwriter Bill Anderson. It was released in November 1964 on Decca Records and was produced by Owen Bradley. The album was Anderson's third studio release as a recording artist and second to be released in 1964. It included two singles that became major hits on the ''Billboard'' country chart along with subsequent B-sides. Background and content ''Showcase'' was produced at the Columbia Recording Studios in Nashville, Tennessee between 1963 and 1964. All recording sessions were produced by Owen Bradley, whom Anderson had previously collaborated with on his two previous album releases. The album consisted of 12 tracks. Four of the album's tracks were composed entirely by Anderson. These songs were " Then and Only Then", "Cincinnati, Ohio" and "In Case You Ever Change Your Mind".
