Kimberley Warm Springs
Kimberley Warm Springs are a geothermal feature and semi-developed visitor site located in the town of Kimberley, North West Tasmania. The Springs are located within the Kimberley Warm Springs Reserve, which is managed by Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania. The reserve features a constructed pool, approximately 13 metres by 20 metres and 1.2 metres deep, a sheltered barbecue area, parking and public toilets. Access to the site is from Warm Springs Road off Morrison Street. The site is well signposted within the town. Water from the springs remains at a constant temperature of 24–-25 degrees Celsius. The water's chemical composition suggests it gains its heat from hotter sub-surface materials. The dissolved solids content is fairly low and contains mainly bicarbonate and calcium ions. Devils Gate Power Station
The Devils Gate Power Station is a conventional hydroelectric power station located in north-western Tasmania, Australia. The dam is high. It is one of the thinnest concrete arch dams in the world. Technical details Part of the MerseyForth scheme that comprises seven hydroelectric power stations, the Devils Gate Power Station is the sixth station in the run-of-river scheme. The power station is located below the double-arched concrete Devils Gate Dam which forms Lake Barrington. Water from the lake is fed to the power station by a single penstock tunnel. The power station was commissioned in 1969 by the Hydro Electric Corporation and has one Boving Francis turbine, with a generating capacity of of electricity. The station output, estimated to be annually, is fed to TasNetworks' transmission grid via an 11 k V/110 kV Siemens generator transformer to the outdoor switchyard. Forth River, Australia

1990 World Rowing Championships
The 1990 World Rowing Championships were World Rowing Championships that were held from 31 October to 4 November 1990 at Lake Barrington in Tasmania, Australia. German teams A month prior to the World Championships, Germany completed the political process of reunification of the eastern and western parts of the country. This was done at great speed, and organisational changes at the sports level took longer, with the German rowing federations due to merge by the end of 1990. FISA confirmed to the East German rowing federation that their rowers could participate as an separate team to West Germany, but without the designation of East Germany (GDR). There were no problems with medal ceremonies, as national anthems were not played nor national flags raised based on a decision made in 1955.
