Don Felipe Agoncillo y Encarnación (May 26, 1859 – September 29, 1941) was the Filipino lawyer representative to the negotiations in Paris that led to the Treaty of Paris (1898), ending the Spanish–American War and achieving him the title of "''outstanding first Filipino diplomat''." Teodoro Manguiat Kalaw (March 31, 1884 – December 4, 1940) was a Filipino scholar, legislator, and historian in Spanish language. Early life Kalaw was born in Lipa, Batangas, Lipa, Batangas, on March 31, 1884. He was the third of four children of police chief Valerio Kalaw and Maria Manguiat. His siblings were scholar and political scientist Maximo Kalaw, Maximo, and two sisters, Rosario and Manuela. Rafael Palma y Velásquez (: October 24, 1874 May 24, 1939) was a Filipino politician, Rizalian, writer, educator and a famous Freemason. He was a senator from 1916 to 1921 and was the fourth president of the University of the Philippines. Biography Palma was born in Manila on October 24, 1874, to ''Don'' Hermógenes Palma, a clerk at the ''Intendencia'' Office, and Hilaria Velásquez.
